Oh these stores are not to be missed and Alicante has not one or two but three.
Yes I've eaten Stilton cheese at their cafe with espresso and sparkling water. I'd been on a cruise ship for three weeks and needed bloody good cheese so Colston Bassett was a must have and they didn't have Stinking Bushop.
If I'd wanted caviar it's there too, four options, or a draft beer. I've seen butter in tins in these places - last time I saw tinned butter Japan was the culprit.
The range of epicurean delights is a joy to see. Truly, fabulous food and booze from all over the world - I could camp here. You can spent 60 cents or €40,000. The staff are all terribly courteous and really helpful in that demur way.
Their stores are usually over five floors and all the big brands are there. Think of Harrods or Harvey Nicks without the posh label. Harrods food hall is just exquisite.
I'm a fan of very big tv's and they have the best on display, working. I have five tellys - the next one will be at least 80'.
