I usually get a fabulous low haircut and they ensure that it fits your face structure. I cannot complain about the cuts I get there, no matter who does it. read more

I absolutely love this shop! All the guys are good natured and really care about the quality of the haircut you are getting. Yes there is a lot of joking and it most assuredly is a MANS barber shop. Expect sports on TV - a bit of chop busting and some jokes. Most of the men are Spanish speaking but all do speak English also. So really a great mix of people. If you are looking for a frufru salon this is not your place. Cash only! read more

I've been coming here for years! It's not just a barbershop, its an experience! They give the old school barbershop experience. Its the Latino version of the movie Barbershop! The barbers are friendly, attentive, and do great work! Love the place! read more

Good hair cuts but not enough training with the blades... I was suppose to go on a photoshoot and i had to cancel

Scheduled an appointment w/ John, didn't feel rushed and he can cut! Anytime I'm in PA I'll drive there for a cut.

I've been going to El Coqui for over a decade for haircuts and they never disappoint. Very courteous barbers, relaxed atmosphere and always deliver top notch work. I'll continue to go to El Coqui and invite people to give them a try for your next cut. read more

This place is nice on the inside but, it's absolutely terrible. The wait is long because half the time the barbers are on their phone. On top of the wait, the barber gave me the completely wrong hair cut. Furthermore, he cut the back of my neck with a blade. Instead of telling me and doing the proper procedures, he gave me a paper towel with rubbing alcohol as I was leaving. Absolutely garbage. It was not worth 20 dollars and most certainly was not worth an hour of time. read more

Went here for my first time the day before NYE and can't say anything bad about this place. The barbers were all very professional, seemed to all be skillful and take pride in their craft. I was a walk-in and was still able to sign up on this sign in sheet they have, which is very office-like, and I was the first head in Nestor's chair. He took time with the cut, was a personable guy and did a great job. I usally go to THE HUSTLE BARBERSHOP in Queens but was desperate for a cut and wasn't gonna make it before the new year. I would definitely recommend this shop. read more

Made the mistake of arriving when they open at 8:30 am. One of the workers was on his cell phone in the waiting area speaking about his personal problems loudly. Sat down for about half an hour while I watched other workers sit around having coffee. No one took initiative to take care of the four clients already waiting. Where is the manager in all of this? Got up and left in disgust. Too bad because I just moved here and was looking for a barber to go to regularly. Oh well, their mistake! read more

When I first walked in I saw that the place was packed to my surprise because I saw this place had a one star review. But still I had no problem getting a spot as a walk-in. So already I'm thinking maybe it won't be so bad. But then when the guy asked what I wanted I said like 3 times half an inch and he gave me like 2 inches. How clear do I have to be.? The people there, well almost none of them spoke clear English, I don't wanna be too hard on them because they were busy. But that's no excuse. I'm getting the rest of it cut over the weekend. read more

Wow, rude. I called to make an appointment with a particular barber and was told they don't make appointments. I asked a few questions about hours and the man on the phone was annoyed and seemed bothered. I was then hung up on. I had brought my son here once before and he was cut by a barber named Donovan and he was great, and I wanted to get an appointment with him but now I am so turned off, we won't be back. Thumbs down on your customer service. read more
