It was a typical place for a date during my teen years and later on the place you will choose to meet a new person and have an easy escape in case things did not go well, as you would know all the waiters there. Some decades forward and even the classics add new era touches. Rooftops are more and more in vogue, not only in coastal towns but also in inland, supposedly boring ones. The rooftop of Hotel Urpi, called Terrat Urpi or terraturpi was an awesome surprise. During a recent visit to my hometown, a friend who lives just across from this hotel wanted to check out the terrace. Well, I was in awe, not only because it is beautifully designed and has the touch of red color from the drink truck "Mediterraneando" by a famous beer brand, but also you get the nature touch with the olive tree planted in a huge pot. You get it all: comfy outdoor sofas with their 'coffee tables', city landscape views, normal tables to eat some tapas and have a drink...and that great small pool that most probably would be a delight during summer time. Very worth a visit!
