This super cute new spot opened up in my neighborhood so I had to give it a try. The decor is powder blue and bright red so it just pops from the street. There is a small sign hanging over the door and a sandwich board on the sidewalk listing their specials. We sauntered in for a late dinner and picked a seat under the fan. The owner greeted us immediately warmly welcoming his guests. A plate of chicharrón and salsa were served to start as we perused the menu. It's a small but full menu with appetizers, entrees, small bites, frappes, and sodas. We ordered a Coke and Diet Coke which came in glass bottles accompanied by glasses of ice. I decided on the Oaxaca burrito and he decided on the Mexican burrito. Our food arrived quickly, piping hot, and HUGE! Mind had beef, chicken, beans, cheese, and was covered in a mole sauce. His was filled with beef and beans and covered in guacamole, sour cream, and salsa for the Mexican flag. Both were very delicious. I give 5 stars for the service and the food. We now dub these as the revenge burritos and I'll allow you to use your imagination on that ;). read more
