We ordered the New York-style pizza--while the crust was great, the rest of the pizza was a bit too soggy, and the mozzarella balls were barely melted. We were also charged for two still waters and were not told until I saw the check. What really left a bad taste in our mouth was the service at the end. The final bill came out to around $860 MXN. When I pulled out my card to pay, our server brought the manager over to process it, and right then and there--in front of the manager--asked if adding a 15% tip was okay. It felt quite awkward and pressuring in the moment, so I just said sure, bringing the grand total to $960 MXN for a single cocktail, one pizza, and two waters. Between the over-the-top pressure for a tip on mediocre food and steep overall pricing, I don't think we'll be returning.

There is outdoor seating and indoor seating. We didn't order any food but I recommend the drinks. The venue has a dark sexy moody vibe inside! I love the decor. I recommend the following drinks: 1. They tried to take advantage of the fact that I don't speak fluent Spanish and charge me a 30% tip. Thankfully I speak enough to have challenged it. We also paid for an HOUR of ping pong time and they kicked us off within 20 min so THE EMPLOYEES could play. They made up a price after the fact and ran us out the door. Literally as we walked away they started playing. Absolutely ridiculous and DO NOT go here.

I had actually had La Gringa sandwich before at a different establishment, and unknowling it had pastor as well. It was great with the pineapples, so I ordered the same thing again here. My boyfriend got three regular tacos de bistec which was a much safer bet in his view. Neither one of us have that much experience with Mexican food, so we try to stick with the food items that we know. The atmosphere here was on the higher end even though the prices were exceptionally reasonable. The restaurant is located super close to the embassy, and the Server who helped us was great and he spoke English.

The complimentary items were delicious, salsas all had a kick to them, beans were refreshing. Salad was light and tasty, probably not the freshest ingredients though, some of the lettuce was wilted. Shrimp quesadilla wasn't very good, shell was hard and not much flavor. Didn't really think any of this spot, edible but wouldn't recommend it.

The American Legion Post #2 in Mexico, established in 1920, has been located since the early 1960s in an ornate early 20th-century building at 25 Celaya, Condesa. After World War I, over 70,000 combat veterans moved to Mexico City to start a new life and escape the pains of war. Seventeen of these veterans decided to form the American Legion in Mexico City, as shown in the enclosed photo. Eventually, they settled on a building which used to be a brothel. Visit the second floor and terrace to see the rooms frequented by the Johns. It is not clear what connection these veterans had to the brothel, which was nicknamed "Lover's Roost."

I was captivated by the warm, eclectic ambiance--shelves stacked with old books, cozy little crannies, and fascinating antique items tucked into every corner. It felt like stepping into a hidden gem where every detail added to the charm. I ordered the As de Corazones, a gin-based cocktail with raspberry, egg white foam, and a spritz finish. It was hands-down the best cocktail I had in CDMX--beautifully balanced, slightly tart, and perfectly smooth. I also tried the Josita, which was incredibly refreshing (and deceptively strong!), making it the perfect drink to sip on while soaking in the atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive, with bartenders who clearly know their craft. Whether you're a cocktail lover or just looking for a great spot to unwind, Pata Negra is a must-visit. (I even went back as a goodbye to CDMX on my last night)

They had a few TVs with some sports on which is why we chose this place. Service was friendly, and quick to take your initial order but after that it was kinda hard to order a second or third drink you really had to flag them down. We came back on a second visit and they were out of some of the beers we ordered the previous visit. On the plus side the beers were ice cold. Much colder than out of the refrigerator which made it so easy to drink.
