Delicious lamb chops, cuts of meat, mussels and all kinds of assorted food can be found at this "all you can eat" buffet. It's a foodies dream come true and at a bargain of a price. Located near the university it is usually packed with a younger heavy eating group so the buffet food turns over quickly. Compared to the prices elsewhere, this is a bargain, particularly considering the quality of food which would go for three times as much anywhere else and you'd get less of it.

Excellent buffet to try Catalan and Spainish food. Our large party entered the restaurant and there was only another table occupied. This made us quite worried especially walking by a large selection of food on the way to the be seated. There's no way this place would make all this food and not have any business. So anyway, we ordered a pitcher of Sangria for 12 Euros (not bad) and proceeded to the buffet line. I skipped all the "bread" tapas to avoid being too full to try everything. I have to say the food was delicious and hot. I didn't touch anything on the salad/appetizer food table and I was so full from the evening. A nice surprise was the grill where the master would cook to order any of the beautiful protein laid out. The staff and service was great. Don't miss the freezer packed with ice cream bars and cups. Wow, what a great experience for 10 Euros. Don't miss this place if you're ever in Barcelona. I don't think we saw a single tourist there ... except for each other. Oh, and by the time we left the place, the restaurant was packed with patrons! I only wish we had hit this place on our first day so we didn't need to spend crazy money on fancier tapa bars.

There was chicken and fish, with the former being the better one. This did not matter much to me. And I thought the pizza was actually quite good. It tasted a little yeasty and isn't the fancy brick oven type, but I liked it enough to go back for more. There was a sweet/savory pineapple and coconut soup that kinda worked. The gazpacho was better though. The salad bar had a lot of options. Finally dessert consisted of mostly whole fruits, but there was also one cake and ice cream. I thought the service was fine. We got sodas refills whenever we needed it and the plates were eventually cleared. There was only one guy working, and he was very busy. I would definitely return if I need something quick and casual. 3.5 stars.

Terrablava is a buffet that actually has a surprisingly nice selection of various salads, pizza, paella, pasta, fruits and ice cream for a low price of 12 euros with a drink (unlimited soda or 1 sangria/beer) included. Not a bad deal for the wide amount of items they offered. I preferred the salads the most, they had a nice light pasta salad with green beans, a sweet coleslaw with fruit, potato salad with peas, etc. The flavors were all refreshingly light and seemed pretty healthy after eating rich tapas for a few days. I passed on trying the paella as i'm extremely particular about how it's made and don't like to try it at random places, but did have a slice of pizza and it was a-ok. The decor is modern and clean. The staff was welcoming and helpful. It wasn't the most exciting dining experience I've ever had, but satisfying overall.

You can stop by the meat bar where you can pick and choose your own favorite meat or fish, then they will cook fresh at the bar for you. Typical green salad (lettuce, tomato, radishes, cucumber, carrots), green beans, beet hummus, bulgur wheat and pea salad, Spanish olives, cold pasta topped off with a few sunflower seeds and some toasted corn for crunch. (The salad bar also includes white rice, corn, couscous, and garbanzos). I could've gone back for more, but resisted the urge. After vegan pizza and burgers everywhere we go, a simple salad buffet was a nice break. There's a grill at the back (we skipped) you can add for 1€ more. They've got pizza and pasta and I'm sure some kind of chicken and red meat.... I opted to spend my extra 1€ on a cold pressed pineapple juice (they also have orange). I left just enough room for mixed fresh fruit and coffee.
