When we arrived, they had our reservation at the place was so nice. They even had live music at one point but not loud very nice music. They had a great selection of drinks and wine so you couldn't go wrong there. We got a variety of plates. I got the steak which was phenomenal. It literally was like butter. My aunt got the mole and I have to say that was delicious. We also actually started with a beat and goat fluff cheese, which was amazing. Definitely must have. We also got a shrimp taco, which was phenomenal. For a drink I got a carajillo which is one of my favorite things to drink when I'm in Mexico. Overall, great experience here everything was beautiful and great presentation and very well served. Definitely booked this restaurant when you are in the city.

I picked my table in the larger of two seating areas. The place was pretty busy and there was a little boy, whom I assume was family to someone working there. He was scurrying around the entrance and was quite loud, but not a big deal for me. The restaurant was rather plainly furnished with sparse decorations. I asked for the one free water that came with the buffet. The water actually tasted like lemonade, which I liked, but it wasn't just water. The buffet wasn't huge, but afforded many choices. I tried a little bit of almost everything available. I made two trips to the buffet, and certainly got my money's worth. My two opinions on the food were that many dishes were too salty, and nothing tasted fresh. None of the many items I tried wowed me. It was all just okay. I definitely take into account that I was eating from a buffet, along with the timing of my visit may have impacted the quality of many dishes. The trade off was the price, which was 175 pesos. The exchange rate on that day equated to $9.28 USD, which is a great value. I will likely return because of the price and hope for some fresher flavors.

It had good reviews though so I was hoping that I would be pleasantly surprised! On the plus side - the buffet is $150 pesos; very reasonable with a drink included. Food is horrible to my palate. Maybe better to Mexicans' expectations of Chinese food but I hated what I tried. I did like the beef and broccoli as well as the orange chicken(??) and egg rolls. Would not recommend.

I really wanted some meat (specifically steak). So, I decided that a Brazilian steakhouse was the…read morebest option. It's a nice place. I've been to four other Brazilian steakhouses (all in the US) and I couldn't help comparing this to them. It has a nice, formal atmosphere. We went there for lunch around 1pm and there were only two other tables. Everyone was dressed in rather casual clothes. However, that might change at night. The salad buffet had a good selection, but it was a little small. They had a few different types of lettuce salad, noodle salad, etc. Also, they had rice, mashed potatoes, potato wedges, watermelon, and more. I really enjoyed the mashed potatoes and Cesar salad. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were made with chicken stock or something. I'm not sure. After we finished the salad bar, the meats stated coming out. Most of the beef was too tough and well done for me so I asked them if we could get it medium and they complied (for the most part). My favorite is the pichana. I always love the flavor and salt on pichana at Brazilian restaurants and it was very good here. Also, la piña con canela (pineapple with cinnamon) was amazing! The best! I loved it. I ate too much of it. Did I mention the pineapple? I was a little disappointed that they didn't have the traditional cheese bread (which I'm addicted to) or the bananas. However, they had garlic toast with cheese and the special pineapple as substitutes. My only complaint is that it took forever to get the check once we had finished. We asked for it and then waited around 15 minutes at an empty table. It's really expensive for Oaxaca (269 pesos per person for lunch), but it's cheap compared to Brazilian steakhouses in the US. We pay $50 usd per person for lunch in the US, so this seemed like a good deal.
