This is the first library I've ever come in contact with, so I have quite a few childhood memories…read moreof spending time in the kid's section waiting for my mother.
The library is located in a very interesting building - the floors are more or less "open" and you can look down into the entrance area from the top. On the 3rd(?) floor is a small café where you can also get candy bars, located right next to the magazines available to read - so you can sit there with a coffee and read the newspaper, all while knowing what's going on in the entrance area downstairs. Architecture-wise, it's a more or less beautiful library.
Content-wise, it's a mid-sized library. There sure are a lot of books, but I don't think you will find absolutely everything you are looking for. As far as I remember there are hardly any English books - just German ones. There is a bit of a selection of CDs and DVDs though, which can be rented for a small fee.
