They must not have known I was in the store as after 20 minutes I asked about my bagel sandwich. They said they did not have the bagel I requested and suggested an alternative. An honest mistake. They quickly completed my order and threw I a free cookie and a muffin which was a nice touch. This 5 stars is based solely on in-app ordering and pickup. I got intrigued to try the new spice honey cream cheese and it was delicious. I was able to order online and use the free coffee rewards. I ordered and picked up without any hassle. The location was clean and my food was ready for me at the pickup area. But still, slightly annoying to wait that long. This has happened to me before at this location too. Bagels are OK. Nothing special but better than a grocery store bagel. I prefer their regular bagels with cream cheese versus the egg sandwiches since I don't love the pre-made/pre-heated egg patties that their egg sandwiches are made with. I stood at the counter in front of where it said order here. No one acknowledged me, let alone offered to help me. Located in a small strip mall next to a Chase bank, this location had a small parking lot that can be difficult depending on the time of day, which is the reason this is a 4-star review. The store is clean and the staff are very friendly. The indoor seating seems to not be a thing since the pandemic, but this has been a grab and go spot for me anyways. I haven't been to Einstein's in a long time but cashed in on my birthday gift (free egg sandwich with purchase) and was reminded how much I love their bagels. Latte was also good! read more

From the moment we walked in, he seemed frustrated, sighing loudly and showing clear annoyance. He YELLED my name when our order was ready, and we were the only ones there so the yell was unnecessary and rude. When I picked up my order, my iced coffee was missing, and when my boyfriend politely reminded him, he responded with another sigh and clear irritation. It made the experience uncomfortable, and we ended up leaving quickly. Also, the coffee tasted horribly and was hard to drink. As I step aside to wait for my order, I notice the line had grown behind me, they got slammed for lunch rush hour; but I gotta say that all the 3-4 front associates this day kept their cool, were helpful and patient with all the questions, and churned out the orders mighty quickly. I was impressed. Perturbed by the wait, and the dwindling time before work, I swore never to enter this establishment without ordering ahead on their lovely easy to use app. After all of that, I was able to get to work and have 15 minutes to sit and enjoy my meal. Whew! As for the taste and quality- Nice soft bagel, toasted on the outside, generous meat and fixins piled high- I only ate half of the bagel sammy, and the coffee was made exactly as I ordered. The sandwiches are good especially the breakfast ones but definitely very heavy and greasy and may give you some serious heart burn. Here is what happened: On display at the open cooler on my left when I walked in was delicious looking orange juice in plastic cups, right below the processed orange juice in a bottle you can find in most grocery stores. I got excited at having freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning, so I asked the cashier if the orange juice was indeed freshly squeezed. I was told it was in no uncertain terms. But I asked again, since I had been lied to before at another Einstein bagel shop in Pasadena about the same issue. The cashier answered again in the affirmative, not blinking an eye. I paid, grabbed a straw, and took a sip. It was, once again, repackaged "Simply Orange" juice sold at 3 times the price to unsuspecting customers. When she saw me approach the register, I wasn't even 5 feet away when she said: "Oh, yeah, that one is not fresh squeezed." When I asked why she told me it was, she pretended to be in a different place, far, far away from the land of integrity and personal responsibility. I didn't push any further, given how uncomfortable it must have felt to be caught red handed. She refunded the faux juice and we parted ways. Einstein Bros, you are crooks. Do better. read more

The guys in front of me ordered 24 bagels to go and individually selected what seemed like 24 different varieties then rethought the order and switched out at least 12 of them- one-at-a-time, consulting each other at length about what they thought everyone would like, and making sure that there were gluten free, dairy free, and egg free options, as well as one blueberry "just in case". (Insert eyeroll here). Thank the lord, there was a second cashier who beckoned me over and rung me out in less than 1 minute. Phew!
