Dina doesn't just care for the children's day-to-day needs; she helps prepare them for the next stages of life, from preschool to kindergarten and beyond. We've had all three of our children in Dina's care over the years, and choosing her daycare was honestly one of the best decisions we've ever made. From the very beginning, Dina created an environment where our kids felt safe, loved, and excited to learn every day. Her routines are consistent and thoughtful -- from meals and naps to playtime and learning activities -- and she gives each child the attention they need to succeed. Thanks to her patient teaching and creative projects, our kids learned so much -- recognizing letters, numbers, shapes, and colors -- and even started writing their names by age three. By the time they moved on to kindergarten, they were confident, curious, and more than ready both academically and socially. Dina's home is always welcoming, filled with fun learning materials and toys that spark curiosity and independence. She's great about keeping parents informed and is always honest and open in her communication, which made us feel completely at ease. Dina is more than a caregiver-she's like a second mom. She truly loves and supports each child as if they were her own. She, along with Miss Rene, Kara, Big Karey, and Karey Michael, have built such a loving community where kids learn kindness, confidence, and compassion. We'll truly miss Dina and her amazing team. Our family is forever grateful for the care, love, and strong foundation she's given our children and the positive impact she's had on our lives. With her years of experience, what our kids gained from their time with her is absolutely priceless. We will miss our daycare family!

She met him exactly where he was at and used interactive games to teach. He was fully ready for TK when he left. They also do weekly library and park trips, plus walking trips to see the neighborhood. What makes Tiny Footprints truly special is the family atmosphere. All the kids become part of Cecy's family. Cecy also offers movie nights for the kids, after-hours care for date nights, and she even kept my son when I had a week-long work trip. It's not just a daycare--it's a safe place for children to learn, grow, and thrive in an environment that celebrates both excellence and diversity. As a "Black-owned business", Big Steps stands tall. Yet what makes it even more special is the variety of families and nationalities who bring their children here, each one welcomed with open arms. There is a strong sense of unity and shared peace of mind that every child is nurtured and valued, regardless of background. I've recommended Big Steps to other parents with full confidence. In fact, a couple I know has traveled all the way from Vallejo, California, across the bridge because of my recommendation. They expressed having the same beautiful experience. They've told me they would happily return if ever the need arises again. That kind of consistency and trustworthiness speaks volumes. One of the most helpful features is the Emergency Care option. Life is unpredictable, and knowing there's a trusted place where your child can be cared for on short notice is an incredible relief. There's even the possibility of holiday and weekend care, which is such a thoughtful addition for working or busy parents. I believe that places devoted to children's well-being should always strive to reflect the highest levels of character and integrity, not just in how children are treated, but in every interaction within the environment. Consistent professionalism creates an atmosphere that all families can feel completely comfortable in, which is vital when building a lasting sense of community and trust. Big Steps Educational Daycare is a community gem. I'm truly grateful for the care and kindness shown to our goddaughter and to others I've referred.

She stated she would be sending documents for us to review and also to fill the following Monday. We followed up and she replied that she would be sending them the following day. we waited for the next day but nothing, so we followed up again with our intent to get all required docs filled out and to send payment as soon as possible. she replied stating she would be sending something shortly. the entire day went by and nothing. We attempted to follow up a couple more times and it was no reply after that. This delayed our search for childcare as we needed it within a week of our first meeting. We would have appreciated the common courtesy to just get denial via text or even a call. We would have been able to keep our search going. We found it very unprofessional and also bizarre as she appeared very nice in person. I honestly don't know if we triggered her in some way, we were polite through all interactions and wanted to get her everything required to enroll our daughter. If she would have just told us no or that she did not want our business, we would have been fine and moved on. we would have appreciated not wasting our time or hers.
