The beef pho bowl was very tasty with more very fresh veggies on the side. I got a green tea bubble tea that was very nice. I could have drank about a gallon of it if I had no self control. When I arrived to the place to pick up my order it was pretty packed inside with all different ethnicity's so I knew it would be good. The ambiance inside was nice and the place was very clean. This was the first bowl of pho I ever tried and it has yet to be topped. I've been to nearly every pho spot in Indy and nothing comes close. Give this place a try during lunch and the buzzing atmosphere inside will tell you how good it is. In addition to the pho, the Chinese options I've tried have all been really good as well. Just an overnight trip up to Indy and searched for a place near my hotel. Found Egg Roll #1 and decided to check it out. I walked in and immediately realized this place is the real deal when it comes to Vietnamese food. If you have never had Vietnamese food, you can check out their wall of dishes, photos of each item on their menu. They also have many Chinese dishes as well. But for me, I was craving authentic pho. And that is exactly what I got--a delicious, hot bowl of pho. Specifically, I tried the Pho Dac Biet. This includes rare steak, tripe, and tendon. The meats and noodle were amazing. The broth was phenomenal. It reminded me the first time I had ever tastes pho. Additionally, as usual, the pho came with your standard sides--bean sprouts, slices of jalapeños, lime, and Thai basil. In terms of ambiance and service, this is a no frills place. Clean. Simple. Plenty of room. You get a tray and a number. And the server drops off your food at the table. The cashier and the servers were all friendly. And even at 8:30 at night, this place was hot and happening with customers coming in and lots of to-go orders. For me, I will have to come back. This place is one of our favorite go-tos for Asian food. They have a large variety of different menu items. My husband loves to get a huge bowl of pho so he has enough for carryout. It comes with a plate of jalapeños, Thai basil, and bean sprouts to add as you desire. We tried their chicken wings for an appetizer this time. They were good. I enjoyed my boba mango tea for something different this time. I would order it again. My favorite is always the lunch specials with fried rice, an entree, and eggroll. The servings are huge and the price is great. The egg rolls are hot and crispy and my favorite is the Kung pao chicken. Their foods are always freshly made and I think they still close down between lunch and dinner to assure that fresh quality. The restaurant is small so if you go for eat-in lunch try to go early to assure a parking spot. They also do a brisk carryout service. The old lady who i believe is the owner was extremely rude to myself and my mother as soon as we walked in the door. This was the grossest food and most disgusting service and behavior Ive ever encountered at a restuarant. I chose Mongolian Beef, egg drop soup, and 2 pieces of crab Rangoon. I honestly think the lunch special from Hong Kong restaurant in Fountain Square is better. The portion of the entree is much larger and the fried rice tastes better. However if you want soup and an egg roll or crab Rangoon, then go for the lunch special from Egg Roll #1. I really enjoyed the Hu Tieu (egg noodle with shrimp and pork) I got. The portion size was perfect and I liked the broth. The crab rangoons were amazing and I was thrilled I could get them with the lunch special. The tea was great as well, and only $1 per person to get a pot delivered to your table.
