My 30 min consultation with Katherine was really helpful! I learned formatting tips and ways to beef up my resume by adding a header, summary, and core competencies and creating sectional dividers. She recommended outcome-based bullet points that highlight the benefits and quantify the results rather than a laundry list of tasks. Katherine was friendly and thorough and even had enough time to quickly proofread my hubby's resume. It was really nice to get an extra set of eyes! While the $299 starter package seems a bit pricey, it's a good deal considering that you are equipped with the A team of an interviewer, drafter, and editor. They will rewrite your resume and can fine tune and belt out those bullet points. While my resume could use a few tweaks, the starter package is a great option if you're looking for a resume overhaul without doing all the guess work. The cover letter was not far from any cover letter you would find in the internet as she doesn't take time to interview you and therefore understand your background. She may be able to help if you are not at an executive level and you don't work in a sector that is very specialized and requires the "vocabulary". You have to pay fully in advance and there's not much you can do about the results.It became so clear to me that what she was giving me was the cookie cuter product that I did not even bother with much feedback, it was clear I was not going to get the product that I required, she did not know much about my sector (as she had claimed to do).

I'm a huge skeptic and even though I went in there with the idea in mind "this won't work for me", it actually did. I didn't hear anyone, except one guy, say they "didn't feel anything." The guy who complained was asking odd questions the whole time and taking notes. (Example of an odd question, "Can I drink coffee all day instead of water?" I'm sure that's exactly what Michael Phelps drinks all day when he's training, coffee.) When I left, my husband asked me how it went and I said fine, except I think there was a blogger or something there writing an article. Which is fine, except in a setting where you need to feel comfortable, he was a huge distraction. I think the weird note taker guy even asked her at one point could she do magic. Magic? Like, pull a rabbit out her pocket? Other than that it went well and I saw people at the end signing up for more sessions. I've recommended hypnosis (specifically Irit) to every single one of my friends since I've been. I even told one friend in Virginia Beach that it was worth the weekend trip.
