Very pleased with Ed. He quickly fixed the problem with a leaky fresh water system in our motorhome and, after some trial and error, diagnosed what was behind our balky slide out. Smart guy, knows his stuff. Very friendly and excellent at explaining things. Charges were very fair. I highly recommend him. read more

Eddie made getting the roof replaced on my 2012 VCross easy. He was punctual, straight forward, and completely transparent about the entire process. It was an insurance claim, which can sometimes be a back and forth game, but my experience was easy, start to finish! And they completed the repairs on-site :) The craftsmanship and knowledge that Eddie, the owner, possesses is spot on!! My husband and I could not be more pleased with the service and attention to detail that we received from Ed's RV Service and Repair. read more

I called this company when we were in East Texas for the Crater Ralley in September of this year. Eddie the owner said he was on a job and would be there as soon as possible. He called later to let me know he was on the way and his approximate arrival time. When he arrived he quickly diagnosed the problem with our Rooftop air unit and had it repaired within 1 Hour. I was impressed by his complete knowledge of our motor coach and will certainly use his service again when needed. read more

Eddy's been working on my RV off and on for a couple of years now. This guy knows his stuff. This might sound outrageous, but he's probably the BEST RV MECHANIC in the country. I bought my late-90's RV and over time, he's turned into a fantastic living space and at a reasonable price. If you live near Nacogdoches (my trailer is in Rusk). Call Eddy! read more

My Experience With Cushing Automotive in Cushing, Texas…read more I want to share my recent experience with Cushing Automotive in Cushing, Texas, so others can make an informed decision. I took my 2017 Tahoe there to have the A/C repaired. The next day, I was told the condenser was bad and that it would cost approximately $1,000 to repair. I was told it would be ready Friday. I picked it up Friday at closing after they called and said it was ready. On the way home, I realized the A/C still wasn't cooling properly. I tried calling Monday, but couldn't get anyone to answer. I went back Tuesday and was told I would need to leave the Tahoe. I dropped it off Wednesday. Thursday, I was called and told there was nothing wrong with the A/C. I picked it up, but the problem continued. I brought it back the following Tuesday because it was still blowing hot air. At that point, I was told the HVAC box was bad and that replacing it would cost approximately $6,500. I was also charged a $126 diagnostic fee. Today, I took my Tahoe to NAPA in Henderson for another opinion. They repaired the A/C and I was also informed that 1.2 pounds of additional Freon had been put into the system, this likely caused damage to the compressor. I am extremely disappointed that I was first charged around $1,000 for a repair that did not fix the problem, then told I needed a $6,500 repair, when another shop was able to fix the A/C for just over 1k. I went back today to see if Cushing Automotive would make things right. Evan did refund the $126 diagnostic fee, but he refused to pay for the damage and additional expenses caused by his incorrect repair. I was also informed today that Jason is no longer the owner of the establishment and that Evan is now taking over. I want to make that distinction because this review is about my experience with the service I received from Evan. What makes this especially disappointing is that I have used Jason before and had a completely different experience. The quality of work Jason provided was good, and I trusted that the job was done right. The quality of work I received from Evan was not the same. I am sharing this experience because I believe customers deserve to know what happened before deciding where to take their vehicles.

Every time I've had work done, it has been done professionally, at a good price, and in a timely manner. One time, my AC on my pickup quit blowing, and Jason looked at it, determined that is was a bad vacuum hose, and fixed it ON THE SPOT. Now, that's great service.

What used to cost $20 is now costing me and my family $75 to enter for the day. I know a lot of people that come here that are refusing to come here because of the price alone. It seems like camp Tonkawa needs to be on the phone with their insurance because their insurance going up is forcing people to not come anymore. ( that's what they told me.) Side note- this place is not nearly as "crazy" as it used to be since the main tree over the water has fallen. The Volleyball Net has been down for a long time And families used to bring their small grills to cook for everybody out there for free. It was more welcoming, and I have watched it slowly turned into what it is now. Everything a gift from God and I wonder if the ownership realizes it's steady decline. It might be time to consider a change in ownership.
