May 2026: Booked a flight through eDreams and their Prime BS is enabled by default. If you're not careful or in a rush because the timer's running out, it's easy to click right past this because they make it look like you have to. That's what happened to me so I went back and read it, '15 day free trial cancel any time'. So I figured it wasn't worth the headache of clicking back and risk losing my booking opportunity again (price had already gone up). I was gravely mistaken. I did google search and found tons of nightmare complaints. Immediately checked account online via desktop... no option to cancel subscription. You can't delete your payment method either. I tried and it flatly tells you that you can't if you have an active Prime membership. So I called the support number. I gave them a chance. I politely asked to cancel Prime as I don't want an ongoing subscription. She went into a spiel about how I got a discount on flight and hotel because I knowingly signed up for Prime--"terms and conditions" she called it. I said, OK but it's a free trial right? Your website says I can cancel during the trial so I want to cancel. She began the same spiel again so I stopped her. Me: Hey I just want to cancel Agent: I must read you the terms and conditions Me: You already did. Agent: I'm going to read them again Me: Ok After her spiel silence followed. Agent: So? Are you there? Me: Huh? Yes I'm still here Agent: I need an answer from you Me: Answer to what? You didn't ask a question. I just want to cancel. Agent: Well you signed up and it was very clear Me: Yes, it's very clear on your webbsite that I can cancel within the 15 day free-trial. That's what a free-trial means. It went on like this with no progress and now we were yelling at each other so I asked for a supervisor. Of course she claimed there was none available. I pressed on, I wasn't letting this go. She finally got exasperated and asked me to hold. A min or two later she comes back and says the Prime plan has been cancelled, you'll get an e-mail confirmation and if you ever sign up again you'll be charged. Now, the e-mail confirmation did arrive and it looks like the subscription was indeed cancelled. So I went to delete my payment method. A confirmation dialog now appears asking if I want to remove it. I click Yes. Nothing happens. Card is still there even after refreshing the page. Looks like I have to call in again... As I'm sure you all know by now, do NOT use this company. You can fly for the same price through a different site/agent. Their Prime "discount" is a scam which in fact does not save you any money; quite the opposite, it is designed to give the illusion of a discount (aformentioned BS fee) as well as hook you into ongoing subscription payments. While they create a reservation, payment often sits with the agency, making them your contact point for refunds. When you pay via eDreams, they charge your card, and the payment is held through their payment gateway. If a refund is needed, you must request it through eDreams, not Spirit. This is what I did and I was told Spirit would be the one in charge of giving me a refund. I've tried multiple times to contact customer support, but it's nearly impossible to reach a real person. The chatbot just goes in circles with unhelpful options and repeats the same message: "Our agents may be busy due to a high number of contacts, so before I look for an available agent to assist you, I'll show you a list of topics you might find useful." There's no clear way to speak to a human or even find a direct email address for support. It feels like they've made it intentionally difficult for customers to get help. I went to kayak.com to book flights for a family vacation, and the first option for my airline of choice was facilitated by eDreams. I had to agree to a free trial membership in order to book, but I could cancel at anytime. The trial period was scheduled to end before my vacation started. I booked, called to cancel, endured the pushy customer service rep reading their "are you sure?" script, and thought that was that. A few days later, at 3am on a Sunday, my trip gets cancelled. No explanation. The airline looks into it and explains eDreams cancelled my flight. It costs $99 in non-refundable cancellation fees. STOP. They are an on-going scam!!! a total rip off. We booked a flight with them in 2022. We continue to get monthly charges - 3 and half years later. Some of those charges are as high as $79. If you contact them, they have a hard time with language and "can't find your account." I tried a half dozen different email addresses (anything we have ever had) and they "couldn't find my account" so they couldn't cancel me. Worst travel day of my life, thanks to edreams. The flight was canceled ten minutes before we were to board, and I still haven't been refunded. Edreams wants to be paid 30% to give back our losses, even though the airline sent them this money. Because they are a third party, they get the reimbursement and are supposed to send it to me, but they want another 30% to send me my own money. This was a flight from Southampton to Paris, and since Eurostar tickets and train tickets to London to catch the Eurostar were all astronomically expensive due to being last minute when I could have arranged them 6 months in advance (as I did with the flight through edreams) and I would have qualified for discounts and paid about 20% of what I ended paying.
