I had made several attempts, but none of the other restaurants justified the notion i had in my mind...then Yokosuna answered my prayers. A TRULY authentic sushi restaurant- not one that is just popularizing on the recent sushi fad in Paris. The fish was SO fresh and delicious and the fixed price menu: 22 euros for a WHOLE SUSHI-SASHIMI BOAT, salad, soup and 1/4 bottle of wine.. AMAZING! Thank you Yokosuna for making me feel at home :)

Since I've been in Paris (3 weeks) I have been reading Yelp a lot to find a good sushi spot. Rice…read moreand Fish has been my long time favorite in the city so wanted to try something else in the 75002 district. Chose this place due to mostly positive review but apart from the proximity to my place this is not a quality Japanese restaurant. From my experience, Japanese restaurants ran by the japs or the Koreans are the best in terms if quality of food and service. I grew up in Asia and travelled a lot for work so I had the pleasure of dining at fancy places on the company tab. Based on all of this, this place is NOT run by Koreans or Japanese. This place is cheap. The take out sushi place around the corner, pre-made packaged ones are more expensive than this place - there IS a reason for this! The quality of sushi here is sub par. I ordered the salmon and tuna chirashi and the salmon was mostly white than orange and the tuna was more white-ish red then red. Hope you know what this means! The white lines in salmon is generally of low quality or scrap part of salmon and the tuna wasn't fresh! The fish pieces were super thin. Chirashi plates are for fat kids like me who wants more rice and fatter fishi than nigiri. Well these were neither. The ONLY good thing about the dish was the rice - well seasoned. If you are eating sushi for 13 euros and are scared that you might have food poisoning after, it's only fair that you get a failing grade on yelp. Sorry but not sorry and not going back! The servers hands were also so dirty. I almost didn't want to share that but please just wait for Rice and Sushi to open, don't settle and go here!
