When I first arrived, I spoke no German, but this wasn't a problem at the Medizin Mariahilf practice. The two lady doctors, Drs. Duarte and Lamel, speak English quite well, and Dr. Mückstein speaks English okay (he's younger than Dr. Mayrhofer). Thankfully I can now communicate in German effectively enough, but for those of you who are also just off the boat (or visiting Wien and catch a cold), this is a decent place to get treatment. You can have lab work done in the mornings M-F on-spot, that is, blood work done at the office without needing to go to yet another clinic or bring a doctor's order elsewhere, which is super convenient. Their office closes at 11:00 daily, at which point the "lab" part of the office also closes. (You can go in the mornings for matters unrelated to blood work, also, though.) I've found their hours to be very convenient, what with being open until different times (until 21:00 on Thursdays, even!) - I think the practice is very accommodating for people with all types of working/study schedules. And, most importantly, I feel like the treatment I've received has been adequate, and the doctors who have treated me have been nice and reasonable. I am satisfied with the care I've received here, and I will continue to go here for my "primary healthcare/internal medical needs" while I live in Vienna. *As seems customary in Vienna for non-specialist physicians, they don't take appointments - it's first come, first served. I haven't found this to be a problem, though, and I've always been seen pretty quickly, even during peak times/flu season, etc.

There is a chance that she maybe competent in wound healing and ozone, but what I have seen is shameful. She tricked me into paying for 3 useless visits instead of two,after a long first visit she told me to come back in some days for the blood test, then on that day she kept me there one hour waiting and chitchatting -she even told me that I should find a different doctor! Then charged me a second 190e for that. Third time I found out that all the tests she did for that money (which I will also have to pay with my insurance, probably another 100) were exactly the same as the tests I had done 4 days before the first visit, and I gave her the copy. Other tests which I really needed were only half done, possibly because she has no idea of what she is doing. She ignored some basic principles of the leaky gut and a lot of basic things and she capitalised on me being very ill and needing answers. She even run after me when I was leaving to offer me do do the rest of the tests (and charge me a FOURTh time? That s just my guess. To take advantage of vulnerable people like that is just evil. Now I lost 900+ euros (1100 if we count two pretty useless hydrocolotherapies from her accomplice, who actually tried to sell me the Meyr protocol another scammed person was talking about in a different review) and also one month of really precious time. There should be legal repercussions for people like that.
