There was no staff in the children area to ask me if I needed any help but they do that other areas with info stands. I was on a budget. The books I bought mostly cost about $1.2- $4 per Italian written book. Some were sets so that how I was able pay under $3. I bought about 40 books here for age 0-3. I love that they had a good select of children books. They had over 20 children books with CDs but those cost $10+ each. But I was disappointed in their return policy. I was able to find somewhere I can buy lots of children books for only $3 for books that retail price is up to $15 so I decided to try to return some that I bought here. I didn't notice a sign like in the U.S about the policy. But it turn out that there policy is that you can only exchange and it needs to be a book for book or cd for cd. I was also disappointed that there was no promotions going on. Not sure if they just aren't into giving promotions in Italy. They only offered a discount for only a few children books. The children area didn't have any used books or toys for the kids to play with like others I've been to in other countries. It has 3 floors but only a section on the lower floor has a children area which included toys. It has stationary, adult books, DVDs, CDs. They have an elevator but no toliet (banjo) or cafe inside. This place closed at 8:30pm which was nice.

I contacted them asking to send me another planner and they answered that it was impossible because the code was different. What??? They reimbursed the money for the planner and told me that I had to place a new order and pay the shipping cost again. UNBELIVABLE. Why should I pay for their mistake? I was so happy that they were able to fulfill my order of English language museum guides. I had been very disappointed that the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli didn't have any on hand. I'm guessing it's because so many people buy the Electa published guides. They are always so well done. Well, fortunately Feltrinelli had them in stock. I was also able to find one for the Museo Ostiense, which I neglected to buy when I was there. The prices are fair, and the shipment was delivered in a very short amount of time. Three different employees that I asked to point me in the right direction were so rude, had grimaces on their faces, acted like I was a total bother to them. When making a purchase at the register the rude cashier didn't even open the bag, half shoved my book inside and pushed it across the counter. And I try to use as much Italian as I can, so it's not like I'm acting like an entitled American. We've been in Italy for two weeks, 3 cities, stayed in luxury hotels as well as dreary urban areas and these are the rudest, most unfriendly people that we've encountered.
