On 1-9-2024 I returned to Cotter & Easton Dentistry for a dental cleaning after a 3 year absence. I…read morereceived the expected x-rays and exam. I was then told by the dental hygienist (I never saw Easton) that a "deep cleaning" was recommended. I was not informed that a "deep cleaning" was going to cost me more than 10 times my out of pocket cost for a covered dental cleaning. It doesn't stop there. After receiving a bill, I discovered that the dentist was no longer "participating" with BCBS Medicare PPO Advantage. I was not informed of that change. If I had been informed of that change I would have sought treatment elsewhere. So I was lied to and deceived about the increased cost of the recommended treatment and I was lied to (by omission) about the participation status of Easton. As mentioned my first visit was Jan. 9, 2024. To my surprise they scheduled me for Jan. 10 and Jan. 11 for treatment, which I found very fast and unusual. After reviewing the insurance claims filed by Easton, I realized why - they wanted to bill as much as they could before I realized their deception. I immediately stopped treatment, but I had already been charged nearly $750, for a cleaning! At the least, this is unethical and predatory behavior. Stay away.

Looked in the chair next to me to a girl much younger who's bleeding and crying. He doesn't care whether or not he's hurting you just wants to get the job done and get as much money as Possible. Was also told my braces would be off months in advance, they weren't. He had to keep asking and we finally got them off days before I needed them off. Please do not take your kids here even if it is cheaper- horrible experience.
