My mother and I briefly visited this location for 5 items. There was only one gentleman working at…read morethe register attending to all customers. He was very helpful but needed to step away to use the restroom as we used self-checkout. We proceeded to complete the transaction but needed to add another item, upon the gentleman's return to the register, he kindly helped us add it but once we attempted to complete and pay, there was an error message stating it needed a supervisor's override. Another man appeared from the back and the gentlemen mentioned that he was needed at self-checkout. The man never stopped what he was doing and said loudly in front of other customers, verbatim, "I'ma tell you like I tell everybody: if you don't know what you're doing at self-checkout then I can't help you" to which I replied that it we just needed an override to add an additional item and we can wait for him to help us, then thanked him. My mother was frustrated with the way he had spoken to us and the gentleman at the register so we left without purchasing those items. This was not an issue of naivety, we simply needed authorization to add an additional item. Perhaps if someone is loudly and proudly proclaiming that they aren't knowledgeable enough to complete their job duties and responsibilities, then perhaps they should be let go to seek alternative employment where the work is easier to grasp. This is a horrible location, the store is a mess (considering the manager was dedicating his time to stocking instead of helping with shortening the lines), and there were not enough staff members to assist customers when other staff members needed to take a break.
