Large welcome center with maps, brochures and very informative guides. Locals were selling crafts, artisan local foods, liquors, clothing, and gifts. Free & frequent shuttles took us up the hill and into town.
This is a small walkable town without a traffic light. We stopped into a few antique shops, gift shops and clothing stores. We passed coffee shops, pizzerias, real estate offices, a post office & a few outdoor camping & fishing shops. They were clean public restrooms and lots of benches to sit on. As we walked through town we passed markers that indicated the history of this area. read more
