Great place for gardenware. Excellent selection of plants even for those without a green thumb. Such a lovely place.

Food looks and tastes great but a little overpriced, not much to snack on so must buy meals most of which are around the $30 mark. Prawn and watermelon salad is the bomb!pork cutlet works great even with blue cheese which I normally loathe. If you have time to spare the gardens are gorgeous with plenty of space to walk run and benches to sit on and take it all in. Great kids area as well. Eden Gardens is quiet and relaxing with beautiful plants surrounding walkways.There are a range of exotic plants and garden supplies to buy. There is a nice little shop there but never open long enough for that long afternoon chat with a loved one. Coffee and cake average. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE. We waited for ten minutes to be seated with staff intentionally ignoring eye contact till we eventually seated ourselves. There would have been six or seven tables finishing up so it's not like it was busy. Another twenty minutes passed with staff walking around cleaning tables at their leisure and continuing to ignore us. We finally managed to spring ourselves onto one of the staff. The food was excellent and arrived very quick. Chicken Maryland and Noodle Salad were perfect. A bit expensive but delicious. Nobody cleared away our plates and eventually after trying to ask one of the waiters for the bill we took ourselves to the register where we waited (along with a line of other people obviously not being served properly) another ten minutes before having to go ask at another counter for service. Honestly, you'd get better service from the KFC down the road. So overall I do not recommend unless you've got a spare ten hours to kill or have a fetish for being ignored by waiters. read more

So the last time I bought something from this hole, it was a scorching hot day. I was craving a nice cold milkshake. That's all I wanted. Looking at the giant size of the cup it's served in I was faithful it would be worth my $8. Just a nice cold Salted Caramel milkshake, at the quality I expected after paying $8 was all I wanted. Not only was I disappointed but I also nearly threw up at the result and began spiralling into insanity, deeper toward my pit of self hate. From then on I had begun digging my own grave. Such torment from a delicacy, a treasure which deceived me, what folly I was, I am. To start off, i had to wait 20 minutes into Eden gardens and no chill in the terribly uncomfortable chairs and the depressed waitress gives me a look of pain. The foul liquid only measured up to like three quarters of the cup. I expected it to be close to the top or at least something nice like whipped cream/ice cream. Remember I paid $8 for this. I sigh and take a sip through the dull black straw. All I can taste is cheap milk and a hint of caramel. Where was the salted caramel? I do not know. But whatever milk I tasted, I fear transcended upon an extra chromosome to me. Sipping into this was like sucking straight from a filthy cow tit. #nofilter! I honestly could almost taste the cow. But whom would take such milk for gal but Eden Gardens?! I was utterly shocked. Remember I paid $8 for this and I'm just a kid who doesn't have a job. You can only imagine how infuriated I am. Anyways, the milk was so bad I'm kind of glad the cup wasn't that full. The caramel would have helped this problem if there was even any caramel in there! That's another thing, the little caramel that was in there was not even "salted caramel". I know salted caramel like my own brother. I don't have a brother I just say brother like the way black people do because I'm trying to emphasise that i throughly know and respect the taste of Real Salted Caramel. All I'm saying is the Café really need to step up their game! Just that one lousy excuse for an expensive milkshake gives me the impression that anything else they have to offer is of the same level or lower. Get your manure together. If I had known what I'd be in for I'd have saved my $8 and buy salted caramel ice cream and throw it in the Nutri bullet. That Nutri bullet is twice the man/woman/nutcase you'll ever be! A short drive up Ryde road we pass Eden Garden center every time we go to the city. Our curiosity got the best of us one day so we decided on turning left instead of continuing straight down the road. The parking in front of the center and below was plentiful and easy. We walked in the garden store which is situated at the front of the centre. They had a great selection of outdoor and gardening supplies and gifts. After browsing the shop we walked out the back to the garden. The first level garden is contemporary and blends with the shop and cafe. Patrons sip coffee and munch on food outside the patio garden. You can then walk past the patio to the rest of the garden that is composed of neatly designed sections representing different landscapes and plant life. The garden was much larger than we initially thought. The centre also hosts private events and houses a small gallery next to the cafe. The Eden Garden Centre hosts a number of workshops, special morning tea and lunches, uses its facilities for special events like (outdoor movies or a safe Halloween alternative) and is a nice atmosphere to inspire the green thumb in us. read more

I went to Eden for the post-Christmas sales on a 40C day only to find that, apart from outdoor furniture, there was nothing on sale! Very disappointing. The prices of everything were higher than elsewhere, particularly gifts, decorative/faux flowers, cushions, candles, pots, etc. The place is, however, very pretty, has a cafe, and the staff is friendly and helpful. read more
