Though I knew she was a great photographer I was still a little surprised when I saw how good our photos looked. She was incredibly flexible about scheduling around the weather and chose a fantastic location for the session. But what impressed me most was how comfortable she made our daughter feel. She was able to bring out her personality rather than making her feel overly posed or self-conscious. And the pictures are absolutely beautiful. They feel polished and special while still looking completely like our daughter -- not some overly styled or made-up version of her that we wouldn't recognize. Stoyan Katinov took pictures for our daughter's wedding. He provided a First Look/Bridal session, as well as photos for a civil wedding, wedding reception, and Temple sealing. We had him take pictures at all events and added one hour of video footage. Stoyan went the extra mile. My daughter added the First Look session late. He accommodated her and took beautiful pictures. He made sure she had some pictures to display at the wedding reception. It was a tight time frame of only a couple days between, but he made it all happen. The First Look session was a bit of a challenge with a significant amount of wind. Stoyan made the wind work in our daughter's favor by capturing veil movement. The pictures turned out amazing. He was patient and spent a lot of time getting things just right. Their silhouette at sunset looked like it was out of a glamor magazine. At the civil marriage and wedding reception, my daughter had numerous specific requests which Stoyan graciously accommodated. At the Temple photo session, he artfully negotiated a difficult backdrop. The Original Provo Temple had many people coming in and out of the doors. The pictures were lovely with him capturing the spring flowers and blossoms and of course the couple. He also captured far away and close up shots of the Temple. This Temple will soon be extensively renovated, so capturing the present look was important to my daughter. The video was perfect! It was fun and enjoyable to watch and captured the most important moments. My daughter and her husband are fun. They smile a lot and are deeply in love. Stoyan captured both their joy and love. He picked Davenport and helped me both to and fro the pier, climb up into "the Cave", and was super accommodating to the fact that I wanted my mom and sister along for the shoot. The Loft Studio was an excellent place to film some interviews. It really is an incredible…read morebackdrop. It made our interviews look much better with the windows, open ceiling and hardwood floors. I would love to come back and film again. The traffic near the building occasionally had sound issues, but it's on par with sound you would get anywhere else. Also be forewarned that it is on the second floor with stairs. But both these issues are worth it for the natural backdrop. I would say, for us these really were not issues. I'm just letting people know.
