Friend was living on my property in a travel trailer and passed away in October 2025. I called them to let them know and to come and get the tank she was renting in November 2025. They never did, then in January 2026 they left a door hanger on my door. I called and talked to Hailey and told her that I had called them back in November to come pickup the tank and since they had not picked it up, I had ended up moving some things around and the tankvwas now blocked and couldn't get to it. Parked the lady's vehicle closer to trailer and had ended up miss placing keys. I would look for them but to give me a couple of weeks to look and I would call found everything was moved away from tank. For the next 7 days, I got calls from Ben demanding to get the tank. To date have received over 10 calls. I finally file complaint with FCC for telephone harassment since Nampa and Canyon County sheriff wouldn't take complaint. Staub even called Ada County sheriff who now might be facing criminal charges. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Also when they hooked up the big tank from the trailers 20 # tanks, the technician dropped the hose end into the dirt without plugging the end. read more

Ed Staub's is the only area propane company I have found who is not owned by the biggest competitor who named themselves after our nation, but is foreign owned. When I call Ed's I get a friendly, local employee, not some random person on the other side of the world who barely speaks English and understands less. Ed's prices are the best in SW Idaho as well. I call everywhere to get my small propane tank re certified and was told by everyone, no, they dont do that. Somebody at a u-haul told me to call Ed's. I called and was told yes, they will re-certify my tank for only 7.50 plus the cost of the gas to refill. When I got there everybody was so nice and friendly and I was in and out very quickly. The cost of the propane was lower than other places to. I found my new propane dealer and I am very happy. read more

Needed propane for our RV since both 7 gallon tanks were empty. Ed Staub & Sons was only a few miles away, so we decided to try them. We drove in our tanks were quickly filled with absolutely no wait. We loaded them and went inside the office to pay and everyone was very courteous. All I can say is service was great and very simple and the price was very good also. If you need propane this is a great place to have your tank refilled. read more

I had a propane problem in my camper, was in Nampa for only one day, and was very anxious about finding the right company/person to help find and fix the problem. Called Staub and talked to a very informative and helpful gal who told me to come down and they would take a look. Got there, had a five minute wait, and a technician came over to help. He disconnected the hose and regulator, tested them, tested the tank, explained to me the problem and options for fixing. He was observant, helpful, explained everything in depth. Problem solved. All of my interaction with Staub was great, and I definitely recommend them for RV propane problems. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable, were a pleasure to deal with. read more

If I could give them negative stars, I would. Firstly, our builder recommended Staub and Sons, in order to install an underground propane tank. Our builder had received an estimate for the installation and testing of the tank for approximately $10, 000.00 but that I would need to contact the company in order to establish a customer account. Upon contacting Staub and Sons, I touched base with Angela who told me I would have to apply for a credit account in order to finalize the transaction. She promptly emailed me the application and upon reviewing it saw that it was a credit application that would authorize the company to automatically withdraw funds from my account for propane refill services only. I told her I was currently not interested in any refill services and I was only interested in the installation of the propane tank. Additionally, I told her I was not interested in financing any aspect of the project and was willing to pay cash for the tank installation. After being placed on hold several times I was ultimately transferred, without explanation, and the line disconnected. Upon calling them back, Angela stated she would have her manager (Ron) call me back. At the time of this review, I have yet to receive a call back. I recontacted my builder and he stated he spoke with "Bryce" and recommended that I should give him a call regarding the matter because there must be a misunderstanding. Upon speaking with Bryce, he stated the company did not do cash transactions and that "we won't make any money off you, if you use one of our competitors to fill your tank." He continued to say that if I did not elect to sign up for the refill program that they would not complete the installation. I said "thanks" and ended the call. Terrible experience! We had to move from one space to another in the RV resort we had been staying at for past 4 months. The distance of move of the propane tank was across the street, less than 50 feet. The cost was $85 and we paid this cost as we had no alternative! Then, last week, our RV dealership called to let us know they could do our required maintenance. So, we hooked up our fifth wheel RV, disconnected the gas line at the tank and off to the dealership! When we returned the following afternoon, we found the valve to the tank removed and a tag indicating that Staub needed to be contacted to re-connect. Our neighbors, who also use Staub told the technician that removed the valve that we were returning that afternoon, to no avail. Phone calls to office and discussions with technician, finally had a service person come out and re-connect the tank. Again, we were charged another $85. Last night we learned of the death of Jakes aunt and uncle in Arizona. We made fast plans to leave and drive our fifth wheel. I called Staub at 9:30 am, explained the situation and asked for a serviceman to come disconnect but, didm't want to pay ANOTHER $85. She told me that a service tech would be calling however at 4:30, I called again and was told a tech would be by tomorrow morning. So, now we must fly to Arizona for funerals as we can no longer drive to be there by Saturday! This company has no business sense and is only after the income they can make from unscrupulous business practices. Other companies are available and our advise is to never use this company! read more

After 12+ years I will be going elsewhere. Due to limited income I have sometimes been late on a payment, but this company has never lost any $ during these years. Now when requesting a 200 gallon delivery I am being assessed a $.40 per gallon additional cost for what they now call a 'short fill'. I feel their pricing has become ridiculous and is bordering on greed. I used to enjoy our business relationship and was quite friendly with the guys. I can't say how disappointed I am with their operation. read more
