Motel Le Métis - Last nights sunset

You have access to the beach as well, and the owners have a seating area behind the motel so you can just chill out to your heart's desire. I stayed in room #7 with my mom and it was pristine. I've stayed in many hotels and Airbnbs, and none have come close to being as clean as our room was. In addition, the decor was beautiful and the room was spacious. It was super cozy, had a ceiling fan (there is no AC) and a mini fridge. It was obvious that the owners put a lot of thought into the comfort of the room. While the motel is just off the 132, I didn't find it particularly noisy with the windows closed and the ceiling fan on. The goods: In addition to the above, we had breakfast before leaving and we were quite happy we did! Nadia bakes her own bread and makes her own cretons and jams. For $10, you get two big slices of toast, along with cretons and jam + coffee. So first of all, the cretons are phenomenal. Secondly, the strawberry jam and orange marble de f*cking awesome. Thirdly, they had fantastic coffee for a motel. We were stuffed when we finished. As luck would have it, Nadia sells all of the items she makes, so we brought back a loaf of bread, a tub of cretons, strawberry jam and rhubarb jam. My dad has already eaten half the container of rhubarb jam so I am guessing it's good? ;-) Service: Excellent. Seriously, I have been to many different places and Nadia and Simon are the most welcoming, nicest, friendliest hosts you're going to meet. It's obvious that they love what they do and that they have their guests' interests at heart. They are truly dedicated to their business.

3.5/5 From a recent…read morestay I would proclaim this to be one of the nicer if not nicest hotels while in Rimouski. It does seem like the largest in Rimouski. Previously I had stayed here in January 2014 and most recently in August. What's great about the hotel: - Very large spacious and lots of spaces to lounge around - Bar and restaurant available in the hotel - great location right across the street from the Rimouski boardwalk with great walking/running/bike trails. - pool, hot tub, - ample parking both front and back - lots of meeting room space for functions. What's so so: -decor is dated and a tad old in lobby and hotel rooms - feels like the hotel could use a good refresh into the year 2000 to modernize - WIFI is spotty at times. Put a code on it to prevent freeloaders moochers off the WIFI. What is on the poor side: - when you open the bathroom door it hits the toilet - bathrooms are small Overall it's not a bad experience but definitely could be better.

The best thing that I could say about this hotel is that it is very utilitarian. There is a nice…read morebig room with an oven and a refrigerator. Everything in the room seemed to have been updated a bit. However this hotel is nothing short of creepy. You can get in the front door without a key up until 9 PM and there is no one who can see you from the front desk which is around the corner. The lobby is small, dark and there are people sort of hanging around at the door who could easily follow someone in the front door and up the elevator. The hallways are bleak. They are darkly lit and made of concrete block. The exterior of the hotel looks like a warehouse. The parking lot is gravel and we had to leave in the rain which was really a mess. After nine there's no one in the hotel although they give you a number to call if you have problems. There is a passcode to get in the door which I'm going to bet they never change. I would definitely not stay here as a single woman. The area around the hotel is OK but not great and this just seems like a very sketchy hotel. This might be OK if you were on a business trip or maybe out with the boys doing a little hunting, but I wouldn't come here with my family and I'm sorry I came here with my wife.

This is a review for the hotel not restaurant…read more Pooh and I stayed here while visiting Tadoussac. The hotel - motel Le Béluga delivers a very basic room. First we stayed in the motel so I cannot comment on the hotel though from the outside the hotel looked nicer. The motel is above the restaurant and our room was plain. Cons: The TV was small the channels were the same is if you had rabbit ears - no specialty channels like Bravo or Showcase. We didn't even have CBS, NBC or ABC just CTV and CBC. The soap dispensers in the bathroom were practically empty. We had to push the button maybe 10 times to get 1 tsp of gel. The "patio" door didn't lock - no latch. Just simple things that could have been remedied but weren't. Other cons: The reception was in the hotel so if you needed extra toilet paper or coffee capsules you had to go outside. The motel is next to the highway so if you sleep with the patio door open you'll hear transport trucks all night. The shower is made for people people 5'5" and smaller. I'm 6'2". Pros: The bed was comfortable, there was a mini fridge, a coffee maker and hardwood floors. We will definitely return to Tadoussac but stay at a different location.

We had kids in tow and they have a kids meal for $12 which comes with some housemade beignets soaked in caramel. The kids were too full to eat so we did. Score!! Food: We ordered fish and chips. Mussels in beer with fries$19, clam chowder, bang bang shrimp and Steak with side salad and home fries. Fish and chips$19 we're great with a ridiculous tartar sauce. I had to steal the kid's too. It was awesome for the fries. The fish was quite fresh. I believe it was cod. The mussels were also fresh. I kinda wished the broth was a little more flavourful but thats ok. My friend said the clam chowder was good but not the same as Boston broth more on the thin side. Fair enough, thats expected since Boston is known for their chowder. The steak is the downer. Its tiny 8oz for $29 and its not a good cut. I'm pretty sure its top sirloin. A bit pricey for a cheap, tiny cut. Service: Its pretty good. It's seat yourself so we went in to let them know we're sitting outside. We had rambunctious kids with us and we didn't want to disturb the other patrons inside. They said no a problem. The service was quick. Got our cold beers rigt away. They brought some sliced baguettes. Given its a tiny basket for 7 people but they gave us more when we asked. The food came not long after. Our steak was forgotten though buy she knew it as soon as the food came out. Right away she went in and had it done. She apologized and was really funny about it. All in all i would recommend this spot!
