We put our clothes in the washers they are not coin operated she starts them and then convinced us to leave and come back. It took awhile to figure out that it would be 2 1/2 hours. After eating an excellent Italian meal across the street we came back and half the clothes were already dry the other half in the driers. The cost for 4 loads was 34€. The washers are small and don't hold a lot. But we now have clean clothes to finish our stay in Garmish.

This may be more than what you're used to, especially 2,50 for 40min of drying time. Now if you don't read German this laundromat will be difficult to use. There almost isn't an English word in the place lol. So this is what you do: 1.Pick the washer you want. Load it. And remember the number of your washer! 2.Go to the steel payment machine near the door. Look up your washer number so you know how much it costs. Place those coins in the payment machine. Then press the button that is illuminated green. Your machine is now activated. 3. Put your pre wash in bin #1, soap in bin #2 4. Press "Normalwasche" 5. Press the start button. Update: As with most laundromats in Germany the dryers do not seem to work the first ten minutes. It's like the dryer is not hit at all. The dryers in this laundromat is particularly bad. Expect to pay 3 Euro or more to dry your clothes. The drier follows the same procedure. This laundromat isn't fancy but it gets the job done. I actually had to have a nice elderly lady who spoke no English help me figure all of this out. Danke!

It's a very small laundromat that opens at 6 a.m. which is great for me because I can get up early before the crowds. The machines are a bit old but the place is generally clean and empty early in the morning. To wash is only 2.50 euro and to dry is only one euro. The seating leaves a lot to be desired as it's simply cheap plastic chairs and a very small coffee table. Nevertheless this laundromat get the job done. And these are the best dryers(get hot and dry fast) I have used in Munich/Augsburg. Oddly enough there is no place to fold your clothes when they are done drying. Just the small table. I would advise the cleaning staff to check some of the corners of the laundromat as it seems a lot of the spiders are having a good time in here laugh out loud.

I had plenty of time to write this review because the dryers are SLOW. 14 washing machines (large €9, small €4.50) 6 dryers (€1.50/10 minutes) Soap and softener available (waschmitteldosierer) Pick your washer, load with clothes and soap Pay at the Kassenautomat (accepts cards and bills up to €20). Feed the money in to the machine (geldscheine) and you will see the total available in red numbers (guthaben). The value will decrease as you select the washing machines, when done hit "geldrückgabe" for your change. Head back to your machine, the green light next to the power button should now be on. Use the button on the top right to select the type of wash, hit the power button to start. Same steps for the dryer. If you want to add multiple 10 minute runs to the same dryer keep hitting the same dryer number and watch your remaining balance deduct by 1.50€.
