This bank is clearly more concerned with being pompous than professional. I work in this building,…read moreand pay $10 a day to park in the parking lot. When I simply needed to break a $100 bill they turned me away due to joy having an account. It's not hard to be nice people. I suggest US Bank

I'm not exactly sure who to give credit to, but because I've had a WAMU account long before they were bought out by Chase, I'm just gonna give credit all around. I just found out yesterday I am a victim of credit card/identity theft via some suspicious activity with my debit card in Ohio (who buys $400 of groceries at Kroger? Costco I could understand...) and the Fraud Dept or the Risk Management people were quick to close my debit card to prevent any further activity. I didn't receive confirmation of this fraudulent charge until I received a call from WAMU (or Chase?) asking that it was me who indeed approved the transaction. I also logged onto my account online and there it was, a $400 pending debit card transaction for Kroger. I confirmed I was not and they instructed me on what to do. I log into my account this morning and magically, that same pending charge is no longer there? Uh... so I call WAMU back and long story short, because the charge was flagged (FLAGGED!!!!) as fraudulent, it has already been deleted and I was assured I have nothing to worry about. I just need to wait until my new debit card arrives in the mail. Again, I don't know if credit should go to WAMU or Chase since they own WAMU, so I'm going to review Chase as well. Maybe it's Chase's practices to do what they did.

This Fall we were flooded with mail to every account named with legal garboldy gook on fee changes. The large booklet we received was very non-specific on how it was going to change our specific accounts. I meant to go into the local branch to have a sit down conference to understand the changes to each account. Life got busy and that meeting did not happen. This week my bank statements for December started arriving. I plan to keep several of my personal accounts but the Young Saver's account that I have for my grandson I'm going to close! I couldn't believe that a $1,000 account only gets five cents interest. Unfortunately, I've been accustomed to the low interest and kept the account due to loyalty when I have a joint saving account for him at a credit union that gets far more interest. The thing that pushed me over the edge and decide to bail on this account is the four dollar monthly fee that is beginning to get charged. Yes your math is right I'm $3.95 in the red this month and future months. I also have a joint savings account with my daughter that is beginning to get charged this $4. service fee. Yes, I'm going to close that one too and move the money to an existing joint account we have at the credit union. Republic Bank & Trust you really deserve a one star rating for your new fee structure. I'm only giving you two stars because I'm still loyal and for convenience sake keeping several accounts at this bank.
