You can buy a brand spanking new jacket at the Barbour store down the street for full price or a questionable scum-covered jacket from a Mauerpark vendor on Sundays. Or a reasonably priced (and clean enough) secondhard jacket from Made in Berlin that passes Barbour's official authenticity verification.
One of my old college roommates had grown up in a very old money suburb in the Northeast and was completely aghast that I had purchased a Barbour jacket at a thrift store, saying that it went against the complete philosophy of Barbour jackets. But really, I was thrifting in one of the coolest and hippest cities in the world. Pigs would sooner fly before I could pass for a bonafide East Coast preppy WASP.
Head to the lower level -- you'll find a rack or two of men's Barbour jackets and perhaps ten women's jackets, most of which are on the bigger side. Don't fret though, because they'll restock eventually. There are also a good number of Barbour lookalikes if you aren't terribly fussed about brands. All in all, Made in Berlin is a bit expensive for a secondhand store, but at least they take card?
