The first of its kind in the Philippines, MALAGOS CHOCOLATE MUSEUM, and its non-edible confectionery garden is located within the grounds of the beautiful Malagos Garden Resort, is that dream. This Tree-to-Bar experience begins upon entering the museum. After being greeted with a smile, by lovely chocolatiers, you will embark on your CACAO journey. You will learn about the history and making of Philippine Chocolate, and all about the CACAO bean and its industry. As you make your way from room to room, you will be listening to the sounds of the Philippine jungle. The birds get louder as you get closer to their chocolate nest. So keep your eyes peeled for any potential flying visitors. To make it easy on mama and papa, there is a interactive zone made for the family. Where young future chocolatiers can stimulate their minds with fun games and interact with Beanie, the Malagos Chocolate Mascot, giving the parents a nice little breather. I'm sure after you've fed your mind with titillating sweet thoughts, now it's time to put something sweet in your mouth. As you exit this final room, The Chocolate Bar awaits you, where you'll find a variety of ready made chocolate bars, truffles, ice cream, drinks, and munchies. While you're in consumption mode, off to the side, through the looking glass, you can watch the magic of chocolate making. The singing Oompa Loompas, I mean Chocolatiers, are extraordinarily busy at work in the laboratory. Just when you think your adventure is over, it's now your turn to test your chocolate making skills. You have 3 dozen fun tray molds, and 18 flavoring add-ons to choose from. From the various dried fruits, nuts, herbs, and minerals, that are available, I chose a few from each. For a small fee, and I might add, totally worth every peso, take advantage of this opportunity to play with your food. After making a tray for myself, then trying my first piece, MALAGOS CHOCOLATE is now one of my favorite chocolates. The only regret I have, is I didn't make more trays. My experience at the MALAGOS CHOCOLATE MUSEUM was nothing short of amazing. You might not get an Everlasting Gobstopper here, but I can assure you'll get an everlasting memory, as I have.
