I do not recommend Swift Audiology - South Hills to anyone interested in receiving proper health…read morecare for hearing loss. My experience with Swift Audiology was a lesson in repeated disappointments with service and concern as their client/patient. As a new customer I expressed my desire for better service than my previous hearing specialist over the last six years. I was assured that service and customer satisfaction was a top priority. My insurance allowed me to purchase only one brand of hearing aids that I paid $3,500 out of pocket after insurance coverage. Over the past two years I was informed that my insurance limited availability to an audiologist to Mondays appointments only, even though they are open Monday through Friday. After the one year warranty period expired I was charged $65 for each office visit for cleaning the hearing aids and those were performed by the receptionist and not by one of the audiologists. I felt like I was treated as a second class citizen because I did not generate enough revenue to earn any more than the bare minimum of quality care. I stopped in six weeks ago to have the dome inserts replace only to be informed that Swift Audiology would no longer provide service to the hearing aids they happily accepted my money for. I asked if I might have expected some notice in the mail to inform me of this change. Their answer was that I should search online to find who my insurance recommended as a new service provider. I was charged another $65.00 and shown the door. The message is loud and clear. The profit margin on the brand of hearing aids that Swift Audiology sold me was not enough to justify adequate service and care to me, as a customer. I will continue my search for the care I need to be an active participant in the hearing world.

I was seen today by Dr Schott in their North Hills, Corporate Drive office. She provided the most…read morethorough explanation of my hearing issues I have ever had. She was thorough on my hearing aid options and why I needed a certain type. Made so much sense. Dr Schott did not push the most expensive, in fact said with my loss the extra money would not pay. Elsewhere I have been told that each level I would go up in an aid would be better for me. I value Dr Schott's honesty and integrity. If you have hearing issues, look no further.

It was the first time meeting Dr. GREGORY in the Brentwood office for my 89 year d mother. Dr…read more Gregory had zero personality, no compassion for an elderly person on SS income either! No greeting us for it being our first visit and very curt with her explanation of my mom's insurance- Whenasled about other offices, she named the 5 offices. First I…read morehave to say that I did not buy hearing aids from them: therefore I understand charging me a higher fee which for an adjustment to the hearing aids. My issue is the $700 per hearing aide was a little excess. The only reason I went to them was the manufacturer suggested them for the adjustments I needed. $1,400 dollars for roughly two hours of works; mostly on the computer was above the average for the Pittsburgh area. It should have been $400 to $600 per aide. My last visit I was having issues and all that was done was additional information that I should have got on my last visit. The charge $45. If you buy from them you get unlimited follow ups, but you well pay full retail price for the aids. There are other audiologists that are just has good as them but not as greedy. One last thing; the price included one 4 month follow up if they needed adjusted but there would be a $45 charge for an office visit.

I completely agree with the previous review. I will not return there again. My first visit there…read morewhen they changed names was so different. They also have a female that I saw, but she was strapped by the new rules and did things so differently from Shayne. I would like to find Shayne, but doubt the new company would tell me where she is. I will continue to do my own research. I would appreciate a comment in another negative review about how to contact Shayne.

This is now Hearing Health Connection. We went there when Dana owned and ran the practice, and…read morethen when Shayne came out from HHC, and were quite happy with both of them. We made appointments last month and found out Shayne was not there. An honestly run practice would have informed us at the time we made the appointment, or sometime before the appointment, but the guy that the company sent in to take over had the attitude that he owned us as patients. Expect substantial fee increases compared to how it was run previously, including charges for things that were always included, such as manufacturer's software updates ($65 for putting the hearing aids on their computer while he does other work, makes sales pitches, etc). Expect fast talking salesman who deprecates both Shayne and Dana, whom we liked. I told him that we could not afford to spend a lot above our insurance coverage, which has been adequate up to now, and he spent 15 minutes ripping me apart (after he convinced us to buy new hearing aids) because he was "offended" by me. I will never return to this location or this company. I will never refer another friend to them, but will discourage anyone I know from walking in their door,
