I have been using EGE for the last 7 years. New panel, new garage lights and outlets and a GENERAC back up generator. The office is busy so be patient but they will get back to you. Just had the semi annual PM on the generator. Replaced the starter under warranty ( we have an extended one) BZ to them for hiring vets. Our last two techs have been vets. They were personable and professional. While not the cheapest you get what you pay for. They have great customer service and do quality work. read more

If you know Florida you know that finding a reliable contractor is a crap shoot at best so when I find one I definitely want to say something. Eau Gallie Electric is such a company. The dispatch was friendly and accommodating and the technician was prompt courteous and friendly. I called Monday and the work was done by Tuesday afternoon. Please read my previous post and his response. WOW. Look at the lengths Eau Gallie Electric will go to and publically attack a prospective customer. Not very neighborly right? Glad I chose someone else to do the job. Most of what he is saying is absolute BS. You can buy the same generac generator he sells online easily. You can even buy them at Home Depot and Lowes. A local well known gas contractor will install it for around $700 and a reputable electrician can do the job for less than $2000. The specs for a concrete pad are easy to find and generac even sells a composite pad. He doesn't want it to get out there that if you buy your own unit, hire your own install team, and lay your own slab. You can save $3000 that your local generac dealer would just pocket. read more

Called over a month ago, their sales person, Andrew, said he would get me an estimate to install solar setup, left me hanging over a month, never called me back each time after i called him for a status update. Cost us over a month of wasted time. Simply said, beware the smiling salesperson. Since that experience the owner has apologized and I believe he is sincere. So it would be unfair to blame the business for the bad egg. Upping my rating because of the owner. I would never deal with that salesperson again. Due to the delay I am currently negotiation with someone else to get this job done, having already committed to their bid. Had a generator installed. The sales guy wasn't overly bright. The installation guys could have put the generator much closer to my house had they simply taken the time to measure. Instead, the generator sticks way out and is an eye sore. Also, they didn't even bother to level the slab so the generator leans forward a bit. We had Eau Gallie Electric install a natural gas generator. they did an excellent job; their crew was professional and explained each step. They arrived on time and interfaced with FPL to keep power loss to a minimum. We had multiple freezers and refrigerators and were concerned about spoiled food. They provided an alternate power source to keep them all running during power loss. That was a game changer for us that was greatly appreciated. The good: The receptionist, Tracy, was extremely helpful and friendly. She was able to get a crew out the same day. The bad: The crew that came out was either incompetent or lazy. Our power was half out and I was out of town. A crew came out and spent 1 hour 45 minutes, replaced two breakers, charged us $260, and told my wife "I don't know, it could take me two weeks to figure it out". Fixed nothing. I got home and looked at it, within 5 minutes I saw visible electrical damage to the main breaker and with a multimeters determined it was the main breaker... I now replaced and solved the issue myself. I called them and politely said I was displeased and never wanted any refund or service. The gentleman agreed with me and said he'd call me back. It's been a month, and I'm still waiting. I can't recommend another electrician, but I can warn you about Eau Gallie Electric. UPDATE: The service manager called and we had a good discussion. They were concerned with my issues. Overall I think they are a decent company, they just missed the mark on that day. read more

A few years ago they were recommended by Generac to install a whole house generator and have done bi-annual maintenance service since. Always on time and the guys are professional and pleasant. I have used Eau Gallie Electric several times during my renovation, since I purchased my house in Satellite Beach last year. From a new electrical panel, to relocating light fixture outlets, kitchen re-wiring and adding new outlets, the work has been exceptional. Every associate was on time, professional and committed to completing the job quickly and correctly...sometimes challenging in an old house. Being experienced in renovations and a home inspector myself, I was impressed. The cost was fair for each independent visit (since I am doing the renovation myself as budget allows). Not the cheapest, but knowledgeable and reliable...something that is hard to find these days with renovation services. My peace of mind and renovation schedule/timing are more valuable than saving a few bucks with "possible" incompetent people. Will continue to use them and recommend them to my friends. Poor quality work from Eau Gallie - TWO TIMES!!! Buying a whole house generator is like purchasing an insurance policy and unfortunately, I purchased it from Eau Gallie. Hurricane Ian came a few months after they installed it and, as I have two electrical panels, only one worked, the one that had my most vital stuff on it. Of course, Eau Gallie was closed during the hurricane so after it all ended, they came out and replaced the bad board on the unit. Lot that helped me. either poor quality equipment or shoddy installation. The next time was when one of my new air conditioning units wouldn't cool. I called my AC guy, Space Coast Cooling and they came out. He showed me his electrical meter showing electrical going into Eau Gallie's load shed module, but none coming out. He asked me if I would like to bypass the module to get the AC running again. I told him no, I would call Eau Gallie to fix it. Eau Gallie came out and said it was working fine. I test my unit and it was! A fluke! But it was only working because a wire nut that Eau Gallie had put on or something because I saw with my own eyes no electric coming out of the module. I explained this to the tech. A few days later I get a bill!!! The nerve of this company. DO NOT USE EAU GALLIE!!! read more

Just finished getting a repair for a ground fault that keeps popping and burning out in my garage. The builder tied the master bath, and all the garage into one ground fault receptacle. Bill from EGE came out, diagnosed the problem, split the circuit by adding a new ground fault breaker. Problem solved! Always had good service from these guys. Highly recommend! read more

I wanted to express my appreciation for a job well done. Mid-August 2017 I worked with Adam he came out to my house in Palm Bay gave me recommendation on pricing and install time. He walked me through the whole process. I had the Generac 22kw installed in mid-August and Suburban Propane installed 9/8 and Generator start up that day. Hurricane Irma hit Sunday 9/10. My Generator started a few minutes after the lights went out on Sunday and the Generator went off as soon as the lights came back on late Tuesday night. I can not say rave enough about Eau Gallie Electric! They have been maintaining our generator for years, and so we were surprised when it wouldn't come on when we tested it the day before Hurricane Matthew hit. I called, they were closed, I left a message asking for help but not expecting a reply. Imagine my surprise when Bill called Thursday morning and offered to come have a look at it! He replaced a bad battery for us and our generator came on and worked like a charm later that night when the hurricane knocked our power out. We had Eau Gallie Electric run power to a workshed from the house. It wasn't cheap but was also not as expensive as we expected. And just the peace of mind knowing that electrical was done by a pro is definitely worth it!! Theresa in the office coordinated everything and kept in touch by email the whole time, when the permit was issued she emailed me that day to schedule the installation. Throughout if I had any questions I would email and she would answer me promptly. I chose email due to my work schedule. Gary did the installation, he was right on time, showed me a few things I would need to know about and hooked everything up in a neat, very professional manner-you can't even see it from the outside. He kept all of his wire clippings, and trash together and took it with him. Told me where to leave the permit, how much I could cover the lines if I wanted, and where to leave them clear for inspection (we left them clear). They were inspected today with flying colors!! We did dig our own trench to cut costs a little-and they were very nice about it-even told us it was a good way to save!! Everyone was super and we highly recommend them!!! read more

Hurricane Mathew. During the height of Hurricane Mathew, when Florida Power and Light failed, my home power source switched within one minute to my whole-house Generac natural gas generator. My whole-house Intermatic Surge Protector protected ALL my electronics throughout the FPL storm-caused interrupts. When FPL returned, transition from Generac back to FPL was again within one minute. My neighbor ran an extremely long extension cord across the lawns and powered up their freezer and a few house fans.
