I visit Eau de Vie regularly. They have a fantastic Acupuncture service called the Big Room which makes Acupuncture much cheaper that normal. They do this by having a treatment room with 4 patients in at once, and 2 practitioners. Your first appointment is alone, but after that your treatment takes place in the group room - with the same practitioner that you first saw.
Without this I would never have been able to afford to have Acupuncture and would not be as well as I am today. Having the treatment in the group room does not at all feel like a lack of privacy as you are still able to discuss everything you need to with your practitioner, just so long as you keep your voice down a little - many patients relax so much they fall asleep!
I also (when I can afford it) have a massage (usually myofascial or just normal massage), which is very relaxing, and I always feel much better afterwards. The practitioners (both of massage and acupuncture) are very trustworthy and I feel completely at ease talking to them about anything at all.
I have also tried the floatation tank once. Although I enjoyed it I think I'd have to try it again to experience the relaxation properly as I kept feeling nervous about how much time had passed (silly me!).
The reception area is nice and welcoming, with tea or water when you arrive, and the receptionists are always freindly and helpful and very well informed about the different treatments and happy to discuss these with you, and what might be the best treatment for you. They also sell various lovely skin creams, yoga clothes etc and of course the salts so you can float in your own bath instead if you want! read more
