The damage? $130 cash from Alexandria International Airport to Fort Polk (approximately an hour away.) The price we were quoted was a set rate. There was no meter used during the ride. For reference, we were charged $130 in September 2021. Gas prices back then were less than $3.80/gallon. The taxi driver didn't accept credit cards or utilize mobile payment apps, so he stopped by a convenience store with an ATM. Service was friendly. The vehicle's interior could've been cleaner, but it took us from point A to B when we needed it, and that's what mattered at the time. Conclusion: Price is steep, vehicle could use a deep clean, but there's limited transportation options in this area so all there's left to do is, suck it up, buttercup.
