I then got called and emailed every single day for over a week now and it hasn't stopped. I have told every single person that has called me that I am no longer interested and to take me off their list. Yet they still call non-stop. I then called back Easy Auto Ship to see about removing my name from their call list. As they were too expensive and I was just going to drive it myself. The man who answered immediately called me an idiot for putting my information on their website and that they already sold that information to all of the companies who ship for them. I proceeded to politely tell him that I was not going to be using this service as I could not afford it, yet he continued to be an ass. First time using auto transport company, and totally have no good experience! David lied to us! My husband and him had conversation through phone (everything on speaker, even our friends heard it), he promised that the truck driver can pick up our car between Monday and Wednesday. We even have text message to prove. Then he rushed us and asked us to make reservation online! We made the reservation, and confirmed again if the car can get picked up before Wednesday. David said YES! So we believed him, then he started to change what he had promised. He said the truck can't pick up til Saturday. There's no way we can wait til Saturday. When we explained our situation during the first conversation, he kept saying he understand our situation. Anyways, we asked for cancellation and he gave us attitude and told us he will charge us with $75 cancellation fee! Everything was in the text, and he now said it's not his number! What?! Driver was delayed picking up my car because he was pulled over by the police and ordered not to drive for 10 hours. He didn't speak any English so I don't even know why. Then he was detained again mid-trip. Then he had a problem with his truck and wasn't able to deliver my car, so he drove it (my car!) an hour and half to me. Contacted this company early on a Monday to transport a vehicle within the state (86 mile trip) on Thursday. This date was crucial as I had purchased the vehicle and the owner wanted it removed from his garage. I was told not to worry that there would be no problem and that they would get back to me no later that Wednesday to confirm the time. I received no phone call and had to pursue calling them. Two phone calls later they still could not verify that a carrier had been assigned. They said they would call me back by end of day and again no call. I called again on Thursday and my sales representative would not answer her phone. I finally got through to another sales person that confirmed there had not been a carrier assigned to my request. In essence this company will promise anything to get you to select their company services and get your credit card on file. You are at their mercy from that point forward to get any date and time that would work. If they had told me this up front I would have continued to look for another carrier that could have performed on time! Expect long delays in calling as sometimes they will pick up phones and other times they simply let it go to voice mail. They say they are all about customer satisfaction but left this customer with just another empty promise. read more

This was the shittiest service imaginable. Hasan and Tiffany told me the pick up would be on the 10th. Well, on the 10th, having heard no details as to when or who would be picking up my car, I called them, and was told the pickup would now be the 12th (my preferred date, but having been told my preferred date was impossible, I took off work on the 10th to do this). On the 12th, again having heard no details as to when or who would be picking up my car, I AGAIN called them, and was told the pickup would be at noon. Then I got a call saying "looks like the driver is stuck due to weather in North Dakota, and he won't be able to pick up your car until Friday night or Saturday morning." I'm sorry, but how does it go from noon to two days from now? I was flying out Friday morning, they knew this, and wound up having to completely inconvenience a friend by leaving my car with her, as the pickup occurred after I flew out. DIY Transport saved the day!!! Amazing service, honest and explained the process so that a lame person such as myself could understand. I started the process of transporting my college students car 2700 miles about 2-3 weeks prior to needing it moved and started with a competitor. As my date grow closer the competitor had not secured the transport nor was able to meet my timeframes. I had waisted so much time with a well known competitor and was now desperate finding myself scrambling to find a transport. Charity at DIY explained why the competitor failed and then reassured me she would be able to help and meet my timeframes aa well. She delivered on her promise and by the next day I had a confirmed driver and delivery time. The moment I connected with DIY I knew I had the right company. Honest and reliable! I called DIY Transport after doing a quick Google search. I needed to ship my car from NY to Seattle within a couple of weeks. David answered the phone when I called. He quickly gave me a quote that was similar to the lower quotes I received a few months prior after I had filled out a form online and was called and emailed incessantly for months by various brokers. The lowest quote I received before was $1100 and David quoted me $1200. I agreed and filled out all the paperwork online, then waited. A few days before the pick up date I hadn't received any information and I got nervous. Then I saw this Yelp page and I was sure this wouldn't go smoothly. I wasn't able to bring up the forms I had e-signed and I couldn't find anything in writing with the agreed upon pick-up date. I was really upset thinking that I had been fooled and that David seemed so sincere over the phone. Careful to not break the contract that I couldn't reread, I flew from Seattle to NYC to be there for the pick-up that I wasn't sure was real. Either way, I had to move my car out of the secure employee lot that it was parked at since my work transfer cancelled my parking permit. The day came and went with a woman assuring me that they would find a driver quickly. I was skeptical because I read this Yelp page. So that night, I parked my car at a valet airport parking lot and paid for a week so I could fly back to NYC a week later and drive my car across the country myself. When I landed in Seattle the following morning, I received an email from DIY Transport saying a carrier was interested in picking up my car and to call them immediately. I called and they said the carrier was full and I wasn't quick enough calling them back. Based on the previous reviews, I was expecting them to tell me that the carrier could pick up my car in a month, but would need $10,000 more to do it so quickly. A few hours later, a carrier called me directly to confirm pick-up for that day. I confirmed. David called right after that to confirm. No extra money, no hassle. Everything went smooth and I received my car yesterday. The valet at the parking lot handed over my keys to the carrier as I requested. I paid the carrier cash yesterday as I picked up my car after a short 7 days to arrive. I am very impressed by my experience with DIY Transport and David. I feel guilty for 100% believing these awful Yelp reviews and assuming he was lying to me every step of the way when he seemed so honest over the phone. I highly recommend using this company for vehicle shipping. I took one star off for being a day late with the pick-up and not sending me a copy of the agreement that I signed. DON'T DO IT!!! Don't be taken by these crooks! If you're searching reviews on these companies then you know it's extremely difficult road to be on. I googled "car transport" , filled out an on line form and I was bombarded with a minimum of 30 calls. "Gary" (with this company) was 2nd of the first two calls that I received and their prices were comparable.. Gary did his best to keep me on the line and force me to commit before I had a chance to speak with the other 30+ calls coming in. Turns out that they were all comparable in pricing and since I was put off by " Gary" and his pushy, "used car salesman" tactics , I chose to move on to search for a rep that was more easygoing and without such a "do or die" manner of attempting to force me to make a "deposit". Turns out that every one of those sales people that were calling me back are vying for that $150 "deposit". It also turns out that it isn't a deposit at all, it is simply what THEY charged for their services as brokers! THAT IS GREAT !! We all have to make a living and I was in sales for years , so I get it! Back to the point where I was ripped of: I was temporarily lured back in after "Chris" called me back and ran his very friendly "game". of which I had no idea that I was being taken. However, when his story wasn't jibing with the one he first gave me less than 36 hours before, I decided to continue my research. I was so fortunate to find a HIGHLY CREDIBLE, SINCERELY HONEST man named, Josh , who gave me the low down and THE TRUTH about this business. Turns out they SHOULD NEVER TAKE YOUR MONEY UP FRONT and, btw, HE DID NOT! He had my car car delivered from MD to Key West quickly and for a great price (considering the offers I had been given.) I forgot to mention that I also became very leery when , during my continued research, that I found DIY to be same company (with a new name) that had HORRIBLE REVIEWS on the BBB site. A gentleman wrote a review and informed the readers that this company most likely changed their name in order to escape the HORRID accounts and reviews written by the poor SOB's DIY had crushed in the past. "Easy Auto Ship" was the name that I got when they called me and Brandon called & sent text , with replies promising to refund my money and THEY NEVER DID. Chris with DIY did a great job. I was nervous and called every day to see if they have found me a trucker to haul my car from Texas to Oregon. One thing I remembered him saying is "Trust the Process" as I was getting bombarded with calls from other brokers claiming to have a trucker ready to go. DIY uses Truckers that are highly reputable. Facts: New car prior to transfer without any visible damage Video as well as photos taken prior to transfer Land lord witness of the cars condition that I provided the contact information (The landlord had NO biased with interest or outcome due to moving out, hence the car move) Not normal 'wear and tear' discussed within my responses to Easy Auto Ship's claims department Carrier - Average truck with car hitch carriage (Not an eighteen-wheeler with no cover or side panels) After I asked the claims department to zoom in on the photos, I was granted to obtain two estimates to have repaired The lowest estimate under 2,500.00 not surprising they will not cover unless above There was another estimate that was from a Tier 1 repair shop that met the whack-A-Mole threshold They stated the did not meet just the dent, so I said did you want another, which she stated no Her words, we are still struggling with the carrier on Wednesday and Friday pops up to not hit the 72-hour window No communications on Thursday, which is suspect to take 24 hours off the timer They reneged even having enough info to so-called confront the carrier for their insurance to pay the damage The above proves the damage was done via the carrier (contractor) with taking off the table once the carrier told Easy Auto Ship to get lost without a fight or simply did not take place to stall time due to already making up their minds with the lower estimate Enough about that, I will have all emails of this dumpster fire unedited with the exception of emails addresses and names edited. Having stated the above, in my opinion, Easy Auto Ship lacks both transparency and accountability. No calls just email dust going back in forth with excuses and not taking responsibility. For brevity: In my opinion, if you use Easy Auto Ship with damage occurring from A-Z... your claim WILL be denied. You will spend at least 4-6 hours minimum to aggregate all information requested to start the damage claim. Be certain to have two estimates. Easy Auto Ship will place you in a bind to need not only a single estimate, but an additional last minute request. Keep in mind that the majority estimates will need to be scheduled ahead as customary that will induce more cycles. Once all the requested data has been provided, this will be denied at the carrier's (contractor's) word aside having the visible pre versus post photo documentation. I requested the photos from the carrier at pre pickup that was provided. Admittedly, the damage was caused between A-Z hence why Easy Auto Ship went after the carrier (contractor) to use their insurance having their business model protecting Easy Auto Ship unless over 2,500.00. The latter will not happen even when having an estimate the meets the criteria. Note: For paint chips as you will see within the email exchange that is not covered. I took a simple zooming tool with seeing there were no dents prior from the photos their own carrier/contractor provided to Easy Auto Ship. The tone was pleasant until I questioned the findings as well as the denied claim. Remember, 'Easy Auto Ship' is ONLY a middleman (Sales) broker. Or better, a COG in the middle of the consumer and contractor that offer no protection or an illusion that will not be honored from my experience. The model would be that the company so-called 'vets' out carriers on your behalf to find a contractor to deliver your items via online UI (user interface) interface. This too is a concern. The carrier has only been incorporated less than a year that is public domain to check out the assigned carrier before accepting the sales pitch. The carrier I had was one truck - one Man Company. Not a fleet of trucks nor any name that can be recognized in my case. If Easy Auto Ship cannot place the damage on the carrier, they will attempt to ask you to use your insurance. They will tell you the wording or document to claim to not raise your insurance to curb Easy Auto Ship or the contractor's responsibility. read more

As a result, they have little visibility into pickup and drop off timing and have absolutely no accountability when it comes to the quality of the third party provider. I was promised a Friday pickup that didn't happen until Monday. When I followed up with DIY I was told the driver tried to call me twice and left two voice mails, which is totally false. Further, I was not informed that there was cash due on delivery so I had to scramble to make a cash payment to the driver rather than have the entire amount charged to my credit card. One month ago I shipped car using CFR Auto Direct (a company with whom I have no affiliation) and the experience was so much better. (Unfortunately, CFR didn't cover the territory for this particular transport.) read more

I recommend Jason at Friendly Auto Ship. My cousin used Friendly in April 2021 and had a great experience! As for EAS...Please be careful! I booked service with EAS after they assured me I could cancel any time as long as it was a few days before my service for a full refund. They lied and in the fine print you really don't have ample opportunity for refund. They talked to me really nice until they got my deposit (their portion) for the service. But then, my mom contracted covid and I canceled my service immediately. Samantha stated she was processing my refund but I never received it. After reaching out to her several times, I eventually took it up with my bank instead and she and the company denied I cancelled my service and even tried to accuse me of booking with another company for a better price. I have in writing the promise for a refund and they claim that the wording she used is poor and not what the company meant by "the refund is being processed." Their rating is actually high in respect to my experience and I do not see how they are still in business. Never trust a company who is more concerned about small money than their own reputation. I only wish I thought to look them up on Yelp before I booked. read more

DO NOT USE THIS BROKER! They are unprofessional and run a careless business. I used DIY Transport to ship my car across the country. The carrier they hired ended up giving my car to another carrier (I was totally unaware of this). The second carrier expected to be paid on delivery. They held my car hostage for two day while I tried to work with DIY to figure out what was going on. Eventually, I paid a second fee (an additional $1250!!) to get my car back. After doing some research, I learned that the carrier had no current "for-hire operating authority" with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) following involuntary revocation several months prior to shipping my car and was therefore not authorized to operate at the time that they were hired by DIY Transport. Additionally, the carrier was uninsured. The Carrier's last insurance coverage was cancelled shortly before their authority had been revoked. After presenting this information to DIY, they admitted fault and offered to reimburse me for the additional fee that I paid. However, they dragged their feet for months. Eventually they did send a check, but it bounced (costing me another $12!!!). Its possible that if you hire DIY, your car will get from A to B without a problem. But if anything goes wrong, don't expect them to do anything to help you out. This whole business is shady. My advice: drive your car to wherever it needs to go or sell it and buy a new one. If you must ship your car, DON'T USE DIY!!!! read more

I am new to shipping a car across the country. I called several companies, and decided on DIY Transport. Lindsay S. was my contact person. Before choosing DIY I asked if they were good about communication. She said she is very responsive using email, which works out great for me. She was not very responsive. I might email in the morning, and she would get back to me right before her shift ended but there were still lingering questions. I would email her those questions at the end of the day and not hear from her and then was forced to make a phone call. But I continued to stick with the company. Here is where the nightmare begins. Friday she emailed me at the END of her shift letting me know that a trucker would be there to pick it up on Monday, the one day I said that the trucker could not show up! All weekend I imagined this poor trucker driving up there from hundreds of miles away only to find out Lindsay had made a mistake. I called and emailed to no avail. Why wait until the last minute on a Friday to let me know? I never did get the answer to that. Know what I did get? A $150 cancellation fee!!! She actually charged me money for her mistake! Edited: Following several phone calls and a management escalation. They are working to resolve my issues. This review did help with that, and I am very much happy with the customer service team at DIY. They are retraining employees to make the issues I had from repeating in the future. Every window and date I was given was off by a week. We had a move from Oregon to Texas. We have a rental car to cover what was planned on a week without a vehicle. Until the week before, there was no discussion about a one week window for pickup and dropoff. Only the day before each scheduled date does anybody mention there is a window, of an entire week! The rental car had to be extended twice due to this company blaming the dispatch company. Yet dispatch said the windows have never changed. It cost twice as much to extend the rental as it did to ship the car because of 'last minute changes' and poor communication. If I hadn't take initiative and complained, I doubt I would have gotten any communication at all. read more

Ridiculous company. Gave me a quote that we worked with for 4 days. Two days before we are Moving I called them to ask if they had found a driver. They told me that they think the quote is Too low and we need to add at least $300 to be secure. They called back and want to add $350 To the quote and have my car picked up a day AFTER we are flying out of state ( they had a 7 day window). We don't accept so they tell us day before moving that they will not longer be spending time to look for a driver for us as the drivers can pick and choose whoever they want... and yes, We Even bumped up our quote by the $300 to secure a driver. Mind-blown that this place has any good reviews. I spoke with Nathaniel Joy, who proved to be a very good salesman. He told me everything I needed to feel comfortable, but when the window came and went for my vehicle to be picked up, he was suddenly MIA. He stopped replying to my text messages, his voicemail box was full, and when I spoke to someone else at the company, they assured me that a manager would call me - they never did. The worst part is that Nathaniel told me that someone agreed to pick up my car, but that he wouldn't book it since he "wouldn't be making any money off of the deal." I kid you not. I finally got a text from the company saying that they had a driver (after I moved 3,000 miles away, as planned and communicated). When I called the company and explained I had utilized another company, I was responded to with rudeness. When I asked for the person on the phone's name, she replied "DIY Auto Transport." When I asked for the name her mother gave her, she replied the same. I was hung up on some time after I asked for her manager's name. Again, not sure how this business has any good reviews but I recommend going with a more reputable company that will provide you with some sort of initial written contract. I would not recommend this company. They do not vet the companies transporting your vehicle. They took my car and the company that picked it up basically disappeared with no contact. For three days I didn't know where my car was until we had to threaten to call the cops on them if they didn't follow-up. They still made me pay for services despite that ordeal. They are not a good transport company. They were basically nonchalant about any accommodations for my ordeal until I had to demand them. I would not recommend them at all. The only reason I gave two stars was because of the assistance provided by my specific rep to follow-up with the transport company. I wouldn't use this Company again to move a Roller Skate. Blamed everything on the Car Hauler that they say they thoroughly check background. Car arrived so dirty--even though it was "Covered" Transport, had to have car Professionally Detailed. Customer No Service was pathetic when addressing any of my concerns. First Hauler showed up a day late and missed window to pick car up. Second Hauler would not answer phone or texts. Car was delivered in Portland to some Mud hole Parking Facility for at least 24 hours before delivery to me. Of course mud all over carpet and floor mats--even in the back seat floor mat, not sure why they would be back there. Sent many requests to "accounting" to ask about some refund-which they said "we are looking into it". When pressed the again blame it all on the Transport Company--which they Brokered. read more

If only Yelp allowed zero stars. My fiance called to get a quote to transport our vehicle from Tucson to Boston. When my fiance informed him that he was also getting quotes from other businesses, a man named Ricardo assured him that there would be no issues with that. Well we find a better deal, and call back to inform them that we no longer need their services. A woman picks up and says there is going to be a $275 double booking fee ! When we tell her what Ricardo told us, she says she doesn't even know him and he's not the manager so he can't make decisions. They've already charged our card! WTF?? We have reported them for fraud, and will also be contacting the Ohio Attorney General as the other reviewer has. Totally unacceptable that these people masquerade as a legit company when they are a total scam. read more

BEWARE. My experience with DIY Transport started off well but became a stereotypical rip-off. If you contract with them they may, without prior notice to you, send a transport before your vehicle is ready for pickup and then attempt to collect ADDITIONAL FEES for THEIR ERROR. They may quote you one price and then tell you the transport will only pick up your car if you pay more. They may OUTRIGHT LIE to you, as David Jr. did to me, and claim that the price increase is due to the transporter's increased fuel costs--even though a simple Google search shows RETAIL FUEL COSTS WENT DOWN between the time of the quote and the actual pick-up. They may schedule a transporter to pick up your vehicle even after you have DECLINED that deal at the higher price. Then they may claim it's not their problem. They did ALL of those things to me, and I will NEVER use them again. I recommend you AVOID using this firm to transport a vehicle. read more

I chose this auto transport company because I was given a guaranteed two day window to pick up my car when I booked 4 weeks ahead. As it got closer to the day and I hadn't heard anything I called and emailed Samantha and Melissa, the two customer service representatives associated with my account. As the window approached, I pressed them to become more informative and found that they were less optimistic about getting a driver. After a few days of that, it became apparent to me that my car was not going to be picked up before my flight back east. I found a different company and was told that there was no evidence that my job was even posted. In any event I went with this second company, my car was picked up within three days and it will be delivered this weekend. I called and was told that my information would need to be taken up front and when Im ready to schedule pick up of my vehicle, they would then assign a driver, and would be charged the $1,600 cost. Well nothing was ever scheduled and I communicated to them bu text and email that the 65' mustang purchase fell through and I would not need their services. They text me back to tell me when I do find my car to keep them in mind. Days later they charged my account and nearly a month later I have received no refund from this company even though their policy states I would receive a full refund. Ive spoken to several people and multiple text messages and emails that I would receive a refund, but now they dont respond to any of my communications. For anyone shipping your cars, please read! I was quoted $1950 to ship both my cars from California to Minnesota. I thought this was a very reasonable price, so we went with it. We were given an estimated day for pick up from June 4-8. I called customer service on the 7th and they told me a driver still was not selected. I was getting frustrated because they gave me a specific time window. We are moving and have to be in Minnesota by a certain time. I called the DIY dispatch center and turns out the reason why no driver was wanting to take our cars is because we were paying so cheap. The lady told me that the only way to have the drivers even "bite" and take our cars is to up our price to $2400!! Wtf. I ended up having no choice but to bump up the price. I would of been waiting around all month for a a truck driver to have the convenience to pick up our vehicles for the price they quoted me at. I'm extremely disappointed in the fact that they could of just told us straight up that if you pay more, your car would be picked up on time. It's an extremely shady business tactic to be not informing people about this! DIY transport, if you don't want pissed off customers, STOP MISINFORMING PEOPLE ABOUT THIS!! We had contracted with another company to transport our car from Ohio to South Carolina. They were 4 days late picking up our car--even though my husband called them repeatedly--and then said they'd do it but at twice the price we'd been quoted. Then we called Easy Auto Ship based on a friend's recommendation. They shipped our car right away. The driver called me during the drive to tell me the approximate pick up time. I also called him because my complex required us to meet at the entrance. Both times he was very nice. When he arrived it took just a couple of minutes to complete the transfer, during which time the driver was wonderful. The price we paid was very reasonable and we'll definitely use Easy Auto Ship again. read more

I made it clear to Nathan that I wanted to pay all of it on a credit card. The day of the delivery the driver called that he needed cash. Also, I had to end up calling to find out the day and time of delivery as there was no communication as promised. Would not use again. read more

This should be your only choice to ship a car. Rich went above and beyond to help me get my car shipped from Vegas to NY. To begin with i only had a 2 day window to pick up car and Rich and team assured me not to wrry they have me covered. They day of pickup the driver dropped the ball and didnt pick up car because he was delayed in Utah. Rich wasnt haveing that and got me a new driver set up and picked up within 2hours!! That was amazing he even stayed late to help make sure everything went smooth, i was able to make my flight on time and ensure car was loding safetly on trailer. Rich and the easy auto ship team did a spectacular job and i would recommend them to anyone for all shipping needs. read more

Absolutely terrible company, I had set up a pick up date range 3 months out and as of 5 days before I had heard nothing. I followed up and received a window. Two weeks had passed and I had still not been set up with a driver to pick up my car. After I had already moved I still hadn't had my car picked up. There is very limited communication with the company and it is very disorganized. I don't think I would have ever had my car shipped if I didn't go with a different company! read more
