I bought an 03 Chevy Cavalier with 163,000 kms on it from bison. The car appeared, and was in…read moregeneral in good shape. He said he would have the car safetied and repaired until it's passed safety included in the price of $3,200. During the test drive me and the person I was with noted that there was a broken spring on the passenger side (clunking noise when turning wheel). He said he would have it repaired, and did before I drove it off the lot. The repair however was what you may refer to as a 'cheap out', where he only replaced the broken part and not the equally aged part on the opposite side (springs are sold in pairs). That other spring later broke and needed to be replaced (although I replaced both) During the year I've had the car I've been under the impression the body is in pretty good shape, there was almost no indication of rust so I was initially happy. I later found the guy had spray-painted directly on top of rust in order to hide the rust and turn the car around. (pictures taken part-way through grinding the rust off) https://www.dropbox.com/s/lwe50pwnexp155u/2015-04-14%2009.45.35.jpg?dl=0 This is the area he painted over, there is surface rust along almost the whole length of the rocker under that paint. https://www.dropbox.com/s/poh8zvx74x9b9ev/2015-04-14%2009.44.35.jpg?dl=0 Far as I can tell it's generally in good shape, but it would have been nice to not buy from someone who tries to cover stuff up, has me worried there's other things covered up.

Wanted to buy local so I Went here to buy an escape when I was 21 and a student. Salesman (Dave - I…read morethink) was less than friendly and treated me like a dumb-blonde-tire kicker even though I knew exactly what I wanted and was ready to write the cheque. When he finally gave me a quote (it was like pulling teeth getting him to take me seriously) he knocked a whopping $67 and change off the list price and told me there was no money in selling escapes and he was practically losing money at that. Safe to say I went elsewhere, saved $3000, and wasn't treated like I couldn't buy a car by any other dealer. Came back for a warranty claim a year later (I worked locally) and asked if it could be fixed in a specific time window - it was a 1hr job and I gave them a 4hr window because I worked 8-12 locally and then went to Guelph to school - and they told me that they would only work around my schedule if I had bought the vehicle there.

You can tell that customer service is a very high priority and that is what makes the difference for me. I began dealing with them when the other dealership I was dealing with was less than satisfactory in customer service and I can say I've never looked back! They don't sell you a vehicle and then treat you poorly, they respect you and treat you the same way each and every visit.

So hoped that I would be checking in today to experience what their marketing talks about…read more Unfortunately we wont get to experince their butter tarts. Not sure how to best discribe my disappointment with Hanover Dodge. I have reviewed their web page as well as their reviews. Slept on my even writing a review. But when I received a follow up email from Zack today, then spoke to my wife about how I felt, it left me no choice but to take a moment and write a comme t of my experince. When I read their website slogan I have to wonder what it means, "Does Better" and then think not for me. As a long time Dodge Buyer now for 40 years when I purchased my first new car as a 1988 Dodge Shadow, to buying Longhorns, Hellcats, Redeyes, Ram Rebels ect, I have never felt this disappointed by a factory dodge dealer. I spoke to Zack via web portal and Email on trading my 2022 Ram Rebel for a 2023 Ram used that they had advertised. And the process started as I drove from Halifax Nova Scotia to Ontario to look at some trucks. As I traveled I emailed Zack. I received a Sales Qoute on my trade agaisnt their 2023. I replied it was lower then what I expected and I was offered more by 2 other dealers, but would love to come see the truck and discuss it some more. As I was already now in Quebec I put other deals pending on hold as I felt the truck Hanover had was possibly the one. Then I received a email from Zack saying that the deal he sent wasnt going to be approved by the manager and even if it was he couldnt have the truck inspected by this weekend. Imagine my dismay. Here I am 2 hours away from Hanover Dodge and now being told the deal I had in writing wasnt a deal at all. My trade was now 2k lower valued and the truck was unavailble at this time. While I seem to believe the dealer for the most part has good reviews, I am baffled how such a well reviewed dealer would drop a deal and a customer this easy. If you plan to buy from them be sure your there and the managers signiture is on any paperwork or offer. As if it isnt, it wont be qorth even the paper its written on. I guess there is no Home made butter tarts in my future. Not sure whoch is .ore disappointing, the sour taste of the deal being pulled or the inability to taste the tarts. Wish I did t have to write this review but it sure was not a feeling of They, "Do it Better" in my case it was the worse negotiation experince for me from and Dodge deal I ever tried to make. Best wishes if you decide to buy, and I truely hope your experinces are better then how I felt.
