The staff is knowledgeable, and their expertise in kids is an aggregate of over 50 years experience. The school creates a great environment for child social development and parent education, offering everything from potty training to sensory development classes (to help parents better understand no only their own kids, but the kids in the community as well. As a young cooping father, I've learned lots of ways of being more productively involved with my kids. Since starting with my daughter at SSNS 2 years ago, I went from helping my elementary school son with homework, to being actively involved in his school's PTA. I talk to everyone about SSNS, and would recommend it to any family with young kids.

And the playground is safe and wonderful for the very youngest of learners. They use an app which provides updates including photos and videos. As a new parent, leaving my child at daycare made me very nervous. But the staff has my full trust and their stellar communication has given me great confidence. I see my child being social and exploring at such a great pace. I really think it takes a village to raise a child and I consider Primrose a part of ours. We are very grateful.

They have Happy Family Daycare Center on Riggs Road, which accepts children from infants all the way up to 7th grade for their afterschool program. They also own Kidskare which specializes in preparing 3, 4, and 5 years olds for starting elementary school. I have a toddler still at Happy Family and a 5 year old who started at Kidskare at age 3 then graduated and started kindergarten this past year. The staff here is wonderful, my child always come home with great things to say about their teacher. I get to see what they do and learn everyday, as there are weekly homework assignments sent home with them in their folder as well as a mini progress report. The teachers really make sure the kids are learning everything they need to know to be well prepared for kindergarten. By the time they graduated from Kidskare all the kids even knew some sign language, which I thought was amazing. As for the reviewer above I am not sure what caused her negative experience. But I will say that Mr. Uche's wife's name is Grace not Hannah so maybe she was not actually working with the owners of Kidskare. I get off work at 5:30, so usually my husband picks up my child from Kidskare, but he has never had an issue with paying late fee. The times I do go to pick up my child, however, even if I arrived a minute before 6 o'clock I was not charged. The checkout clock is electronic and you enter in a code that only the parents know to sign a child out. It's an automated system so there isn't much human error, and the time on the clock has never differed from that on my cell phone or watch. I have never know it to be set even one minute ahead of the correct time. During the summer, the children do have more time to play but it is still very structured. The center follows a similar curriculum to that used by the Prince George's County Board of Education for preschool. Meaning that there are daily lessons for the academic year, but when the school children in PG County schools are on break the lessons from the Board of Education pause for the summer. The children still have daily activities that help them retain the information they learned from August to June so that they remember what they learned when they start kindergarten after the summer ends. The directors even have some of their own lessons they develop for the children over the summer, such as the sign language mentioned above, kindergarten level math, and more. These additional lessons help your children to start slightly ahead when they begin school in the fall. The prices and staff at both centers are amazing and I would not hesitate to recommend them to my family and friends.

It has been wonderful to see her progress she is already beginning to recognize letters and numbers, which makes us very proud. She speaks highly of her teachers and enjoys spending time with her classmates. The school director, Koshila, is very professional, supportive, and clearly dedicated to maintaining a high standard for the school. All the staff members are kind, helpful, and genuinely seem to love what they do. I especially appreciate the regular communication from the school. I receive emails and photos that keep me updated on my daughter's daily activities, which gives me great peace of mind. I had heard many positive things about this kindergarten from friends, but now I have experienced it myself and can confidently say it is very well organized and nurturing. I highly recommend Kiddie Academy to any parent looking for a caring and professional learning environment for their child.

I expressed this to the school when touring as well as when enrolling. They ensured me they are equip to handle this and she is in good hands HOWEVER things went from bad to worst! My first red flag was the school calling me on day 4 of enrollment asking can I pick her up because there policy is the first week is half a day. ON DAY 4 AFTER SHE HAS BEEN IN SCHOOL FROM 8AM-5PM MONDAY TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY!!! Being the parent I am I went to the school and picked my baby up. I inquired AGAIN is this a good fit for my daughter because Im starting to feel like its not and there all over the place. AGAIN they told me yes there were equipment to handle her. ON DAY 10 I arrived at the school at 9am the teacher was not in the class.. I saw administration and they seemed lost that the teacher was not there but took my daughter and said everything was under control. When I came to pick up my daughter I requested to speak with the owner Rakhi De. In the meeting my first question was what happened to the teacher. She told me the teacher quit because the kids were "BAD" and began to blame my daughter saying that she colored on walls and the other kids followed. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE FOR A PROVIDER TO BLAME A CHILD THAT HAS BEEN IN THE SCHOOL 2 WEEKS 10 DAYS FOR A TEACHER QUITTING. THIS WAS NEVER BOUGHT TO MY ATTENTION BEFORE THIS DAY SO I BELIEVED IT WAS A DEFENSE MECHANISM!! I was upset left and got my child. The next day I spoke with the Director Marian White-Hood. I told her everything that happened the previous day. She told me that the school only had been open 1 year ( I was not aware) and the turn over rate is bad with teachers and they are underpaid. She also informed me they pay more for the camera's in the class than the do the teachers ( this shows how much the care about there staff). She also expressed how she was going to ask the parents if they could pay extra to get a better teacher in the classroom. The school is already 2150 a month! With all that being said this school does not care about your child's development there more concerned with the money. This was my child's last day there and I wouldn't recommend any one to send there child here. There were no lesson plans the kids ran wild everyday I watched the camera no discipline no structure. My daughter is in a new private school currently and I must say sometimes you have to go through the rain to get a rainbow.

I called the director to let her know I was at the front door and her reply was "ok," and hung up. At that point, I'm thinking she's going to come out and greet me or show me where to go. Nope! I stood there waiting for 8 mins before calling again. It wasn't until then that she explained how to get into the building. She also said that everyone thinks the entrance is at the front etc... I mean duh! because when I booked the tour ya never explicitly explained how to get into the building the first time or the second time for that matter. She was annoyed lol and granted the fire alarms were going off at the same time but I proceeded with kindness and forgiveness. Now maybe this daycare was having off-day. I don't know. But when I walked in, I walked into complete chaos. There was a kid just sitting by himself at a table with no shirt on, far from the other kids. And the rest of the kids, a few were sobbing and others were just staring off into space. We couldn't even talk because it was so noisy and chaotic. I honestly felt bad for the little boy who was just sitting by himself. I just wanted to comfort him. I don't understand why none of the teachers were helping guide him into the main classroom area. Anyway, it was jarring for me see that and I knew at that moment this daycare was not for me. I don't know who it's for. You have to be really desperate to bring your child here. Lastly, meals and snacks aren't included. One star for providing parents a place to send their kids, another star for outdoor space.
