My nephew's car broke down and he was stranded on the side of the road in the middle of winter…read more Abby's Towing did not have the appropriate truck bed available for his type of car, but they didn't just turn me away. They actually cared. They referred me to other towing companies that had those trucks currently available AND were closer to where he broke down so it wouldn't cost as much. They even gave me names and numbers of who to reach out to so he wouldn't be freezing outside for so long. They didn't just see us as potential profits like so many big corporations tend to do. They saw that there was a young man outside in the cold and they went out of their way to help him despite not benefiting personally. Their kindness will not be forgotten, and I will go to them first for any towing needs because they are an asset to our community.

A-A Towing is the best in southern Colorado! I had one of…read moremy antique cars that needed a tow. I contacted several towing companies to get a feel for what what was involved but none were helpful. One of the cars had just come out of long term storage, was not yet registered and had no brakes. My wife's car needed a brake light assembly (which had been broken in parking lot recently- not her…read morefault BTW) With the cost of new parts, I thought I'd make a few calls and see if I could get a salvage part from another car. I called several "recyclers" and was quoted prices and given advice, but after giving the gal on the phone at American the specific year, model, make and the fact that this assembly was mounted on the quarter panel I was told that yes, they did have one and was quoted a price about 30% less than a new one. Excitedly I made the trip out (about 20 miles) to the outskirts of town and went into the office and repeated what it was I needed and that I'd called the day before and was told they had exactly what I needed. The gal did her computer thing and said, why yes, they did have it but that it wasn't exactly the same, probably wouldn't be an exact match and that it was from a vehicle one model year different than mine. I agreed to go and look at it and was taken out in the back of the large salvage yard and shown the part. It wasn't a match at all and my effort, gas and time was completely wasted. I'm not sure why a business would do this. I guess some folks would put a mismatched part on their car, but I think this is the worst kind of business practice (bait and switch?) and frankly discourages people from patronizing places like this. This kind of thing does get around, but maybe it doesn't matter to American Auto Recyclers. I recommend you avoid this place at all costs. You'll be much better off.
