My student evaluations have been excellent and my courses have been used as benchmarks for other instructors. Yorkville University repeatedly did not pay me according to the contract for course development. I would have to chase down Human Resources/Finance Department EVERY time to find out when my paycheck was mailed. I was happy when a clause was added into the contract about payments being made within 5 days of the receipt of the invoice, but YU does not adhere to this. I am now waiting three weeks for a check and this will likely affect my credit negatively. I am expected to participate fully, yet YU does not value my time or respect the contract that they provided. Don't expect to be paid on time for course development work.

I will forever do my research and not support this poorly ran establishment. For about a year now on and off, I have booked an appointment when I can. Their internal system for doing this has several "glitched" and not taken my appointment or better yet, they cancel on you and don't let you know. This is what JUST happened to me today. I have my Google calendar synced with theirs so I can ALWAYS remember to make my appointments. My appointment was showing on my calendar up until approximately 6 am this morning. I called after my physio appointment to make sure I still had this massage booked that I put in for SIX WEEKS ago. This was my response. "Oh...so we had to move appointments around because some of our students aren't here. And yours was canceled." I ask, so an appointment I NEED for after my physio today is not available and I don't get a notification for this until I call you and ask hats going on. Her response was, "Yeah." That's it, no empathy, no concern for the fact that I have a real medical need for this, and it's not just something I want to be done. I am referred out to have these done because of acute injuries and a broken back that I am trying to heal without the use of surgery and drugs. Eastern College doesn't care if you have a real need for their services. They don't even care o let you know that you cannot have your appointment, nor do they even care to try and attempt to make things right when it was them who did not do their job in informing the client (me) that my appointment was canceled with ample time. I was suggested to "Look for another clinic for an appointment today" HA!@ A superiorly poor suggestion. It's 9 days before Christmas and you want me to find a SAME-DAY MASSAGE APPOINTMENT! Thanks for the crappy advice. I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again. And it's really sad considering they are a college. They are teaching these students who learn from them that it's ok to treat your clients like this. It's ok to just cancel and not give a damn about another person's health. This is the kind of mindset they are teaching and putting out into the professional world. Eastern College you are part of the problem, not the solution.

I tried to post my review on their website but the site was not letting me…read more I obtained a diploma from this school years ago and that diploma is no longer valid after several years and I had to pay the whole tuition again to upgrade! I suggest for students to have the school make a formal letter with signatures whenever they make promises. If only they give me back all my tuition fees plus all the interests I paid - nah, they won't do that, even their website would only allow my review to be posted if I give it five stars. Save your time, money, and sanity.

I remember when my mom came to visit me when I lived in residence, and we ended up playing pool on the ground floor. I lived on the 7th floor, the quiet floor, at McLeod House and I enjoyed it very much. One of the things I liked was that the campus was so close by and I used to walk everywhere. It was convenient. I used to go to the Irving Library a lot and I had classes in different buildings there. Many of the buildings were constructed in the same style, with red - orange bricks and a metal roof. It gives it a feeling of being in New England to a certain extent. Many of my teachers were really good. A few weren't that great, but I'd rather focus on the positives rather than the negatives. I had a 3.3 GPA, which is a B+, so I did well in many of my courses. I wrote a lot of research papers and either was reading or writing for most of the time that I was there. I used MLA style which was a nice, straightforward system, which I enjoyed a lot. UNB gets 5 stars. I'm proud of my school and my Bachelor of Arts degree. Take care UNB.

Centre for Arts and Technology had some good points and some bad points…read more We were taught by what seemed to be recent grads who read from a book. They were real nice but not worth the tuition I paid. Administration people were nice too until you had a complaint about the recent grads teaching you. The Centre for Arts and Technology (the animation program anyway) is not worth the money. I tried it for a year. Gave them a good chance but nothing improved so I didn't go back my second year. BTW don't buy into the "2 year program but you do it in 18 months" sales pitch - it's their way of getting two years of tuition.

Attended The Centre for Arts and Technology Fredericton in the so called Graphics Design course…read more Staff was nice and some were knowledgeable but not all of them were "from their field" (students for instructors). The Graphics program is nothing more than an introduction to digital media and many of the other programs should also be avoided. Several students (from various programs) including myself never returned for the second year. The school is incredibly overpriced with alot of "filler courses". Avoid at all costs.
