Absolutley taken aback by the new shiny modern building and the range of courses available, when looking on the web site. You have no need to turn into Claremont Road, as the entrance is from the Main London Road. read more

It has a great teaching course facility, which has its own building and library section devoted to students studying in that field. For a university dedicated to science, technology and medicine, students here are surprisingly gifted in the arts (we've got several orchestras and choirs, as well as the main college orchestra which won the competition for the best University Orchestra in 2008) and sports. Located in South Kensington but with campuses around Hammersmith, Paddington, Chelsea and White City there's loads of things to do, and easy access to the rest of London for nights out. And the campuses themselves look great. Our union has vastly improved, and is cheap (of course) which makes up for the house prices in London. And you get to graduate in the Royal Albert Hall. Bonus. But then, like others here, I would say that!

(King's seemed less friendly and far less compact.) Everything's within a fairly small radius right in the centre of London, the union is good, the halls are authentically awful and thereby breed fantastic friendships based on 35 people sharing a single 2m square kitchen for a year. Even as a non-student, hanging out in the quad is a nice place to be. At Christmas they have carols and things and it's all very wintry and beautiful. Number 2 in the world this year or something, so can't be bad.
