Everyone cried. A room filled with 10 people. We all somehow got in touch with our deepest desires. Amazing.

Scribble is such an incredible community space in Los Angeles. During the daytime, this non-profit…read morespace provides sliding-scale mental health therapy as well as community events such as workshops, wellness events, and kids activities. Then in the nighttime, the space becomes a venue along for concerts, dance parties, and poetry nights. I have come here for a few shows now, and every time has been great. The staff/volunteers are so kind and welcoming, and the music space has a great sound rig with a GA standing area and some risers in the back near where the "Cash" bar is (a tribute to the founder's dog Cash). Street parking has been easy for this venue, and it is right off the Metro 182 bus stop too. Definitely come check out Scribble and support its great mission!

The music sounded great out of their speakers Things I didn't like: no one check any bag as we walked through the door. security is nonexistent. no parking, but there's a lot of spots on the street next to it. no where to wait. one of those places you have to stand on the sidewalk with traffic rushing by you. Things I hated: their drink selection. I'm sober, but i'd love a redbull...or a monster? they only had different flavored sparkling water and coke products??

She has an interesting approach to therapy that includes a warmer way to work through issues. The whole idea of Integral Psychology was new to me, but now understand how your mind, body and spirit need to be balanced in order to just live a happier or more emotionally healthy life. She was also really relatable, easy to talk to, and - for once! - a therapist I'm actually looking forward to seeing again! I'm looking forward to continuing my journey with Therapy with Ana!

Ana helped me process my divorce and she took me through what she called "the grieving process". I never knew that you could grieve for people that are still alive. At first it was hard to open up but her caring demeanor made me open up and she helped me through my process. I saw her once a week for a year and have moved to seeing her every other week. The time away helps me see the things I need to work on, and gives me a chance to implement the things we talk about. I am so lucky to have found therapy and be able to enjoy things again. Divorce sucks...but it sucks more to do it alone. Thank you Ana!

My partner and I have very busy lives and needed help working on our relationship. We had reached a stagnant point. Couples therapy is its own magical type of therapy and Dr. Panvini helps us have AHA moments since day 1. From inception, Loreli has been angel. Havening techniques and other techniques have helped me (someone who defaults to over-intellectualizing) get out of my head and into my body which I've found is imperative for healing emotional trauma. With all that said I'm really here to share my experience with the Neurofeedback training done with Rebecca Turner. Having done so much healing and reprocessing through talk therapy, I still felt that my thought patterns were like a hose turned all the way up, whipping around, unable to catch, and control, soaking everyone around me. The initial brain mapping (which is done first to know what areas of the brain to target for training) reflected with tangible data what I was experiencing inside. Ms. Turner described it to me like "your two hemispheres are yelling at each other" which turned out to be one of the most validating things my brain has ever heard about itself. The neurofeedback training process itself is not as complicated and/or intimidating as the name sounds. If one is doing eyes open training, you essentially attach some small sensors to your head using a conductive goop and watch a tv show while the screen brightens and dims in response to the information collected by the sensors and neurofeedback program. For "eyes closed" training, you listen to lyric-less music while the music adjusts the volume to help train your brain. And it all works. I feel good about myself. Shame is now a passing emotion instead of a state of being. Rumination is down ten-fold as my hemispheres aren't "yelling at each other". My thoughts and feelings don't control me as much and/or send my on a downward spiral. If you are someone who feels your emotions are often become too much for you to handle that even standard therapy couldn't alone help, might I suggest neurofeedback?

But life circumstances eventually led me to Jacqui, and now I'm actually grateful for the hardships that brought me to her. She's different from any therapist I've ever worked with. Jacqui really helps you dig deeper and look at things in a more honest, meaningful way. She doesn't just tell you what you want to hear or coddle you, because that wouldn't actually help you grow. Instead, she challenges you in a supportive and thoughtful way that pushes you to understand yourself better. I had never heard of ART before and was honestly skeptical, but I was desperate and willing to try anything. Hands down, it's one of the most valuable techniques she has in her vast arsenal of tools to help her patients. Her guidance on how to manage my anxiety in between sessions is something I will carry with me for life. Working with her has been a truly valuable experience, and I'm incredibly grateful to have found her.If you're struggling with something, I really encourage you to reach out and see her. It will change your life. It certainly changed mine.

I came to Jacqui to heal my trauma, and I'm now more traumatized when leaving at the 2nd ART…read moresession due to a racist comment by Jacqui. The first ART session with Jacqui was about 2 hours, and no specific issues occurred. The 2nd session was a week later. About 30 minutes in, she noticed the ART didn't work as she expected, and her comment about the failure was due to my "language barrier," which I strongly disagree with. Even English is not my first language, I passed 2 most difficult bar exams in the States, and I've been practicing law for the past 12 years in California. Jacqui's instructions are nothing compared to the judges' instructions I have to follow for my work. Jacqui's instruction was basically "imagine your emotions being washed away by a waterfall," something simple and similar to this. However, she told me not only once during this session that the failure is because of the language barrier. She made me feel absolutely terrible, and I had to cut short the session. Eventually, Jacqui admitted that ART doesn't work for everyone but emphasized again my language barrier. We are all vulnerable already when seeking help from a therapist. Now Jacqui makes me feel even worse as this ART doesn't work mainly because of my "language barrier." If Jacqui evaluated that my language barrier is a concern or issue for this ART, she should've noticed it at the first consultation and stopped it, rather than continuing scheduling and charging me $180 per hour for the following sessions.
