I'll just stick to the facts, because that's fair. My wife originally ordered the Pumpkin Risotto, which was pictured in the menu as being white in colour. It was supposed to have pine nuts, pumpkin, feta, and baby spinach. When it was delivered to the table, it was clearly tomato-based, which was not specified on the menu. Our table attendant was gracious and did acknowledge that the menu did not state at all that the risotto had a tomato base, and my wife defaulted to the Philly Steak Sandwich. You would think that a rush would have been put on an item in this circumstance, but everyone else had finished their meals (even the kids) before it arrived. When it arrived, the steak used on this item was full of gristle and was well and truly overcooked and tough. Our table attendant was again proactive and could see that my wife had deconstructed her sandwich and was clearly dissatisfied. I could see her talking to her manager who came over and asked my wife about her sandwich. When she described the attributes above, he commented that this was the third item of this type to be returned today. I'm no restauranteur, however if I saw a pattern like this emerging throughout service, I would be taking the item off the menu so customers wouldn't be able to order it. The thing that broke the camels' back was that the plate the Philly Steak Sandwich was served on was absolutely *filthy* on the underside. My wife wouldn't have noticed if she hadn't moved the plate and her fingers had found the grime on the bottom (see the photo). This really made her furious. She felt that because she sent the first dish back that she was made to wait longer and the kitchen deliberately served her food on a dirty plate. At this point, she gave up trying to have a successful and enjoyable dining experience at this venue, and we all left. We were considering having dessert and coffee here, but after this experience we made the choice to move onto another place.
