She didn't check correctly if it was really his order, so he took it and left. When they realized what happened, they rushed to make my order again. She tried to pretend that she didn't know what happened. Hello, I was there watching what happened the whole time!!! No sorry, "just please wait...." I had to wait another 20-30 minutes for my food to be made. I asked them what happened and the owner or manager just said "we made a mistake...." Smh!! They should have given me something for compensation... The other time I went there over a year ago a different cashier lady forgot something in my order and I had to go back and get my missing item... smh!!! The time before that a cashier didn't know how to do basic math and gave me back my change when I gave her change so I could get a dollar bill back...... smh!!!! I don't know why they keep making mistakes or can't do simple things when I go there. I'm very patient and easy going on person, but I won't be going back for a while.... Our food arrived in a timely manner, was well portioned, artistically plated and absolutely flavorfully scrumptious. The favorite was the carrot salad. It was lite, tangy, fresh and well textured. And it still retained much of what it was. Today I took my wife there and the menu is a shell of what it used to be. There was no steak option anymore. And the server (who is sweet) just let us sit for far too long between seating, order, delivery and check. And while the food is still good it is not superlative like it used to be but the prices are high, even by Honolulu standards. The lack of line out front tells the story: an outstanding restaurant has succumbed to the lowering standards that are evident in our whole society.

Not only was one of the orders wrong despite asking and the workers correcting each other, the gyro plate was abysmally small. Barely 3 oz of gyro meat. I didn't find out all of this till I opened up the container at our hotel room. Irritated, I couldn't go back because I've got a tired 4 yo. The chicken karaage was slightly burnt, which means the outer crust was a tinge bitter, and mostly cornmeal, totally different from yesterday, which also disappointing. Not coming back.
