It was my first time going to earls brunch and I will definitely be returning. First of all, before 12pm everything on their brunch menu is $9.75, so that's a great plus, but the food was also good! I got the poached eggs on avo toast (I forget what it is actually called) and my friends got the hash and the Benny. Came here to check out their patio. Parking is available in a (way too small) private lot. You're better off trying the side streets, especially Fir. My server had a great sense of humour, and kept our party amused. They did a good job on the patio. It's both covered and heated. It was a bit too warm in there (another good job on sizing the heaters), but the staff gladly dialed it down a notch upon request. On Thursdays they had mojito specials. I tried the Raspberry. Some people may think it's too bland, but I actually really like it this way. Most other places (Red Robin's comes to mind) make their drinks waaay too sweet. I also had their Calamari. It was pretty decent, but could use a bit more spice. Fortunately the pepper shaker solved my problem. My friends had pizzas, and while I didn't try a piece, they definitely looked quite tasty. Been here quite a few times over the years, although the food quality has gone down a bit it's still pretty good. Their happy hour is also great, the food prices/selection not so much but the drinks for sure. We did have a bit of a weird situation today, the table next to us was playing (not exactly sure what) some sort of home video, tik tok thing on full volume from their phone speaker. The replayed their video again on full volume and this time we turned around and asked if they could turn it down or watch the video when they're alone later. They looked extremely offended and said something about the video being positive and was just people having fun and laughing (why would that matter??). We were confused and said ok... it's the noise level that's disturbing, we're just requesting you turn it down, you don't have to do anything you don't want to do. We turned around and that was the full exchange. It was annoying but we were having a good lunch and it really wasn't that big of a deal. Those women then proceeded to ask multiple servers to "talk to us" or I don't even know and made a huge deal about it, so much so that a manager came to our table to talk to us. It was incredibly awkward and weird, we originally thought they were coming to apologize for the other patron when they started to talk about a code of conduct for dining. Then we realized she was trying to imply we had been rude to the other diners. It was literally so so weird, we explained that the interaction was literally two sentences, we said please, and no voices were raised and no curse words were used. We asked if playing a loud video violated their diners code of conduct because it was literally such a weird situation. We told the manager as respectfully as possible we really didn't care about the situation, it was a little annoying noise and we weren't upset with the ladies nor were we even thinking about the interaction after it happened. The manager said something about the ladies having a bad day prior to lunch and we just said ok... but I really don't know why that mattered or why we were interrupted with all that. It was just super unprofessional and odd. I understand servers and people who work in service have it hard so we kept it cordial and of course tipped 20%, but honestly we were bothered how it all was handled. To give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe the other ladies exaggerated the interaction since they were trying to get us kicked out, but seriously, it could've been dealt with by them just telling the diners playing loud videos isn't polite, and it's not against any restaurant policy to request someone to not do that. Well, this is the first meal order I got through the coronavirus quarantine. I went through skip the dishes (also first time using that service). I was happy with both. The food from Earls was great and the delivery service through skip the dishes was equally satisfying. I ordered the happy hour platter for four. It included hot wings, garlic bread sticks with warm spinach dip and a sushi roll. All that for $25. Bottles of wine are also already discounted on the ordering site, so they're well-priced. $23 for a bottle of Tinhorn Pinot Gris. Add the tax and courier tip on top of that, it ends up being around $10 more. Very worth it. The food is fresh, very tasty and well-packaged (compostable containers). The timing was quick and efficient. I suppose this could depend on time of day and location. I would definitely order from this Earls again. read more

Out of nowhere He stood up and made an announcement to his table he wanted everyone to know his Colonoscopy Results came back negative. Our entire table got good laugh on this good news. We were celebrating some good news of our own also Back to the meal Earls does there veggies right nicely cooked carrots and I chose the coleslaw side over mashed potatoes. The Steak was tender but little undercooked for my taste, personally. I prefer rib steaks over loin cuts but the bourbon mushroom sauce just added flavor to the meat. I go to Earls often, and I go to this Earls for drinks mostly with girls. After having an awesome dinner in Earls in Whistler, I decided to make a reservation for two couples last Saturday, inviting another couple with us. It was a bad experience. The food I ordered was Cajun Chicken, and it arrived burnt. My friend ordered a steak. First, it was burnt, then it was rare (supposed to be medium). Then another one. We had to wait for the second ones so long, we were about the cancel the order. Our friends already finished their plates when ours arrived. I normally don't care about this stuff, or gave bad reviews. We are all human and mistakes can happen. However, this incident was different in the way it was handled. I was extremely hungry, my order was burnt, but still, I tried to eat it. It was unedible. The master waiter came to me mansplaining to me that it is just Cajun chicken and it is supposed to be brown. The problem is, it was burnt, not brown, black. I explained to him that I eat Cajun chicken often at other Earl's and this was not the regular one. We kept telling the same things over to each other a couple of times, making it a terrible experience. I tasted the burnt taste, otherwise, I was very motivated to eat it, I was extremely hungry. I find this behaviour, demeaning my problem, more problematic than a bad taste. I am deeply sorry since Earls is very close to my house and I will not go back there again. Pity. read more

Nice patio area, but along broadway so pick your times. As I have said in my reviews of other Earls, if the food isn't right, let them know and they will make it right. And no, they won't spit in your food for complaining. These chains have very high standards for food safety and cleanliness. Front of the house and management staff here have always been great. VERY overpriced for the small portions they give you. $14.25 before tax for overpriced and soggy "street chicken tacos". Each taco was minuscule (3 inches long) and only had about 3-4 pieces of cut up chicken that were approx. the size of a loonie each. They couldn't even fill the tacos all the way to the top. My dad ended having to give me lots of his Cajun chicken so that I didn't have to eat a microwaved meal for a 2nd dinner. I'd completely understand if the tacos were half the price they are, but it is just unacceptable to charge a customer this much for something so small. As for the ribs, Cajun chicken, and fries, they were all mixed together in 1 single container but for some reason the coleslaw was on the side in its own container?? Friend and I came here for drinks and stayed for happy hour. We had to order hot chicken wings (which were good - served with ranch and celery). We did try to order teriyaki but was advised that they are no longer available. I came just for their teriyaki wings as they are omg delicious. I would usually order two servings of the wings. The cleanliness of this restaurant is mind blogging. The two side plates given to us were dirty. The knife still had dried leftover food on it. Two people had share one set of cutlery. When mentioned the server that seated us said he would check if he could change one of the TV's but never got back to us regarding this. I thought I wouldn't be full as when the plate came out, it looked a little small. But I was actually really satisfied at the end so it is a good meal portion. The chicken was done well - not overly spicy although sometimes I like that, it was tender and good sized. The bun was ciabatta. Earls happy hour is one of my favourite things to do with my friends! So I decided to order their Happy Hour special for pickup. It was on happy hour for $25. On the menu the appetizer happy hour included, spinach and artichoke dip, wings and a dynamite roll. When I picked up I was told that the menu was wrong and that they were doing garlic fries for their pickup and it wings which I felt like I should have been told over the phone and not at pick up. Other than that pick up was seamless and contactless. The actual food was packaged great but wasn't the best, the fries were soggy(which I expect for fries that I bring home, but as aforementioned I thought I was getting wings not fries), the spinach and artichoke dip was ok and the dynamite roll was ok. I probably wouldn't order this appetizer happy hour again, however on their website they have lots of other things including groceries that are decently priced so I would maybe try something else on the pickup menu. read more

The parking for this location is much better than the other Earl's just down the street. Offering its own parking lot makes for easier access. Compared to it's other location this place offers more outdoor seating during the warm months and with their large expansive glass facade makes for a open feel even during cooler times of the year. Staff and service here are very friendly and despite the many tables they may be serving always seem like they have time to stop and join in the light conversation. Food is typical West Coast fare and my favourite would have to be the grilled chicken & baked brie ciabatta. There daily specials are also a great value and there's usually something on the menu for everyone. read more

I've never been a great fan of Earls, but recently with all the Canucks playoffs, I've been visiting this Earls. I like this one because this location not only has a patio, but also a big sun room with large open windows that allows one to get the light, but stay dry when raining. The layout of the tables in here are also good, in that wherever you sit, you are most likely to get a good view of the TV. Food here is good. My favourites are the Grilled Chicken and Baked Brie Ciabatta-with grilled chicken breast, melted brie, roasted apples, spinach, sweet fig jam, garlic mayonnaise. This is absolutely delicious. Another is their thin crust pizza-The Californian with housemade pesto, tender shrimp, sundried tomatoes, garlic butter, and feta. A good share plate. They have drink specials every night of the week. Friday nights martinis are a $1 off, Tuesday bellini special, and Thursdays cocktails are just $4!!
