My son is starting sixth grade at Jimmy Carter Middle School this year and I have only been inside the school during school registration, so cannot comment on how it is throughout the year just yet. The school is very modern and seems to be well taken care of. There are five buildings and forty portable classrooms. The staff so far has been very nice and very helpful and making my son's transition into Middle School great.

Great for a Catholic education and relatively affordable compared to other Catholic schools in the…read morearea. I attended this school from kindergarten through 7th grade. There's a variety of activities from band, Girl Scouts, basketball, etc. Have fond memories of field day at the end of the school year and taking Dairy Queen trips with my class. On the other hand, the bullying problem at this school had become increasingly worse to the point of transferring with one year left to go (a few others had done the same) and an administrative staff that wanted nothing to do with fixing the problem. Small, cliquish. Even the church itself is this way. My grandpa was a deacon here and after he passed away, the other parishioners were so judgmental towards my grandma that she no longer felt welcome here. My parents got married on this church as did my aunts, and I was baptized here. But, we no longer attend mass here. I visited some of the teachers after several years of being away and they were all so encouraging and it was a completely different environment from what I remember. There are several kids from my class that I still keep in touch with, but merely as acquaintances

I love our school! I have 2 children currently enrolled (K and 2nd). The 2nd grader loves his…read moreteacher and his classmates. She makes learning something to be discovered, like treasure he finds every day. He is always wanting to learn more about whatever they are currently studying. The Kindergartener loves his teacher too. He is learning so much and becoming a very inquisitive child. He is making great friends with the other children and learning how to talk with adults. It's wonderful that both kids are encouraged to interact with God on a personal level every day. They are asked to memorize scripture and pray regularly. Eastern Hills Christian Academy is an amazing place where my children are safe. They are learning every day and are being taught by people who want the same things for my children that I do. I never doubt that the people who work there love their jobs.

They've supported him in such a compassionate and constructive way, and I've seen real growth in him both academically and emotionally. I truly couldn't ask for a better school community. Thank you, Tierra Antigua, for creating a safe, supportive space where every child is seen and valued.
