He answered all of my questions in a detailed professional manner based on facts. As a result I was able to make a decision in my best interest. Please don't hesitate to call and find out for yourself what a great attorney he is.

I agree with Abigail L. In my experience, Brian did not provide the level of representation or…read morecommunication I expected from an attorney handling such an important matter. I was sued in 2021 and filed counterclaims that same year. My counterclaims were later dismissed without what I believed was clear written confirmation or authorization from me approving that action, which I felt placed my case at significant risk. When I later asked about refiling, I was told to "wait until October," but I did not receive a detailed explanation regarding the significance of that timeline or the potential consequences of waiting. After seeking a second opinion, the new attorney I hired advised me that I had approximately one year from the November dismissal date to refile the case in order to preserve the deposition testimony and evidence previously obtained by my original attorney, who could no longer represent me due to a career change. My understanding was that missing that deadline could have limited the use of previously gathered evidence and negatively affected my ability to defend my case. Fortunately, I retained another attorney who successfully handled the matter and ultimately helped me obtain a dismissal with prejudice and a default judgment on the opposing party's counterclaims, despite previously being told the case would be difficult or unlikely to succeed. Based on my personal experience, I would not hire Brian again. I felt the representation resulted in unnecessary time, expense, and stress, and I believe my case was placed at unnecessary risk.

She did an OK job, not terrible, and…read moreI was at least grateful that she was available on short notice in an emergency situation. I agree with other reviewers that her office is very aggressive with billing time - for example, I remember being billed at one point something like $25 for the privilege of having dropped off some documents in person at her office. My main complaint relates to more recent experience. I needed help with a guardianship matter and rationally sought her assistance as she was already familiar with the background of the situation. I had to wait about two and a half weeks to get a consultation but once I finally got through to her she claimed to be willing to represent me. However she never responded to a subsequent email and two phone calls when I attempted to follow up. End result was that I wasted about three weeks when I could have obtained immediate assistance elsewhere. Unprofessional in my opinion, not sure whether this was malice or disorganization.

Communication was poor, key staff assigned to me left mid-case without notice to me, and there were serious lapses in handling critical matters, including nearly sending the wrong response to opposing counsel. When I raised concerns, in a panic about that outgoing wrong offer and not knowing my main contact was gone, I was told I was being emotional. Ms. Pence then withdrew from the case abruptly, leaving me unrepresented just before discovery. I've since taken further steps through appropriate channels. Would not recommend. NOTE TO THE FIRM: No need to respond publicly here since you never replied to my email requesting a summary of your case progress and strategy for my new attorney. I was told you wouldn't respond post-withdrawal. You can reply to my formal complaint.
