I visited here in November 2023 on a Sunday evening while staying at the nearby Hampton Inn Midtown. E Ramen + has a modern and hip vibe - but can be a little difficult to find it at night if you're walking down Peachtree Street. It's actually part of the Northside Medical building. The chicken soup ramen was fantastic - simple and refreshing on a cool evening. I ordered a side of 3 steamed gyoza which was a nice appetizer. Service was attentive and friendly. Although QR codes are on the table with menus, you'll place your order with a server (instead of the online portal). It was pretty busy with local residents on a Sunday evening! So I went here with my colleague for lunch from work on a busy Wednesday afternoon. This place was moderately crowded. We parked at our friend's place cause you know midtown parking can be a pain. They do not have their own parking deck. It's a very easy place to miss if you are not looking for it. It looks small and humble from the outside. Once inside; it's cute and decently spacious. The host seated us and the servers are super friendly and nice. The menu is pretty awesome with the selections they offer, is what I thought. It's like your typical decent ramen choices, dumplings and other appetizers and rice bowls. We both got our own e-signature ramen bowls and a gyoza plate to split. The gyoza was fabulous. Gone in minutes! The ramen was decent, the broth was white because of pork something, the server explained; however it was dairy free. The ramen was on the sodium high side for my personal pallet , other than that it was perfect. I loved the corn and the pork shoulder in it. Let me start by making this point very clear. This place is my all-time favorite ramen spot. I've been to ramen restaurants in multiple states, but this one blows them all out of the water. To start, with the appetizers, the Gyoza was delicious, and came with a sweet soy sauce that was rich with flavor and elevated the taste of the gyoza by a mile! Onto the main dish, I ordered the "Dark Knight" ramen. It composed of the most flavorful tonkotsu base I've ever had, with noodles cooked al dente, and pork that's seasoned wonderfully to taste. This is my second review of this esteemed ramen restaurant. I came here for a quick "very late" lunch on Thursday. The last time I ate here was in January with my ex and I was not paying attention to the food, so the noodles got cold and lost their fresh flavor. I was so happy this time to get the FULL E experience. I sat at the bar and made chit chat with the friendly bartender/servers. ONE bit into the "you must try this" wrap and I was SOLD. We came here for dinner at 7:45 pm on a Thursday night in early December. Parking was available in the Northside Medical parking garage closest to E Ramen +, and it was free with validation through the restaurant. We walked in and were met by an employee who immediately sat us at a table near the window. Our server soon came to our table, welcomed us, instructed us to look at the menu by using the QR code at the table, and gave us verbal highlights on some of the menu items. I ordered Dark Knight ramen: Black garlic Tonkotsu, pork shoulder, soft boiled egg, green onion, seasonal vegetable and sesame seed. R ordered E Signature ramen: Pork broth, pork belly, ground pork, green onion, soft boiled egg, seasonal vegetables and chili oil. My ramen had a lot of flavors, and all of them were perfect. The pork was so tender that it was almost falling apart. the soft boiled egg had the perfect consistency when the yolk is soft but just past being runny. R loved his ramen, and positively commented about the ingredients being of high quality. E Ramen +'s menu is pricey, but I think that the consistent use of quality ingredients throughout their menu justifies the higher prices compared with some of their competitors' prices. Our server was very attentive during our entire meal, checking on us periodically, asking us if we needed anything, and refilling our glasses without us having to ask. The restaurant is very clean and understated, and is a great place to have a date night, or go out with friends. It was easy enough to find with decent parking. It was easy to find online and while it wasn't my first choice (there was a much better looking place about 12 miles away) it was close to downtown which was convenient. The food: Chicken karaage was good, but you can tell the oil was old or had been heated too high. It had that bitter awkward aftertaste. But the meat was fresh and it was cooked well. The ramen: we opted into the wagyu beef bowl. It was ok. For the 2oz cut of wagyu (which is Def delish, and the broth is hot enough to cook) my best advice is skip the butane gas to line the steak. It'll only improve the taste. I know the flame looks cool, but it's really not great for the flavor of wagyu. The sides are different than what I'm used to. Corn is usually entry level. The six min egg was excellent (my coworker had never had ramen before and was blown away at the experience). My best advice is to have chashu, scallion, nori, kikuragi mushroom, bean sprouts, ground pork or short ribs as an option for ramen. Ramen is amazing but as you branch out a bit it can be a whole experience. Hope this restaurant expands the menu in the future. Best thing here besides the decor is the service. Not often you come across a ramen joint that serves gluten free ramen so had to bring the wife to check it out. Location is easy to find, and parking wasn't bad either. We actually found street parking on a side street but I understand you can park in the deck behind the building and get discounted parking there. Place is laid out kind of funky, but does have a good many tables and bar seats as well. I was most impressed with the selection of drinks, from various local beers, to sake (I was pleasantly surprised at the chocolate nigori in particular) and some quite rare Japanese whiskeys as well. Service was friendly and attentive at the bar both from the bartender and from the ppl running the food out. We decided to try the chicken karaage for an appetizer as they have a GF fryer, it came out quick and was quite tasty, although the portion size left a bit to be desired. As for the ramen we opted for the signature ramen and the miso-hot with some extra pork chashu on the side. Overall, tasty stuff that's worth visiting for food allergy reasons.
