My husband has been going to Kaycie the last couple of months. He loves how she gets his haircut done right each and every time. Also, the old school vibes at this barber shop are amazing. You can't beat the price of $25 per cut. An additional bonus: complimentary cold soda, water, and beers in their retro fridge. E.D. is such an awesome barbershop. My husband and I have been getting our haircuts with Kaycie for 5 years now and cannot sing her praises enough. She is quick, consistent and works hard to be available to her clients. She takes care of her regulars in a way that makes you feel appreciated. Most importantly, we look good when she is finished. After a couple years of growing my hair long, I decided to go short again, and was worried I wouldn't find the right person that would do it the way I wanted it. But Dominick killed it! I was so excited to bring my husband here based on reviews. We traveled the half an hour from our house to the old town location. I had previously called and asked if they could accommodate walk-ins and I was told yes. When we got there a woman rudely asked without saying hello or welcome if we had an appointment. We told her no that we were walk ins. Without looking at the schedule or seeing what they could accommodate even if that meant a longer wait, she said they couldn't serve us and it would be almost a week before they even could. This is unacceptable. Don't say you can accept walk ins when you obviously cannot. Also, have a sense of customer service and actually be nice to new clientele. My advice, don't waste your time. Find a place that actually wants and values customers and treats them with respect. read more

I'm so grateful to be able to walk to this shop in the Old City and get a haircut I used to drive 3 hours for - no lie - I couldn't break the 3 year bromance between me and my barber-buddy James whom I become spoiled with at Oxford Barber Shop on the Vandy campus. Where was I gonna find a guy in Knoxville like OCD James?! Lo 'n' behold; enter Todd at E.D. Bailey Barbers. This guy is a great conversationalist, gives a wicked high & tight for hot weather and an awesome longer style for cold weather! The real test regarding his skills? My wife - she tells it like it is. If she says she really likes my haircut, it's a genuine compliment. While walk-ins are welcome, but I highly recommend don't an appointment, and best to book it 2-3 days out, especially for a Friday or Saturday. read more

Super disappointing. I called ahead for two appointments for my dad and myself and we ended up walking out. We showed up and we waited 45 mins past my scheduled appointment and still I had not been acknowledged or told we be seen soon. So sadly while I was hopeful for such a barbershop, we walked out. I've been to Knoxville visiting on several occasions and have always said to myself... I need to go in there for a shave. Well I finally did it and am kicking myself for not going all those times. Guys, the days of straight razor shaves are vanishing. Go see Spencer, he was excellent at the razor. I walked in and he got me right into his chair, but I highly recommend an appointment. I've been to E.D. Bailey Barbers 4-5 times. I've seen multiple barbers here and they all do an amazing job. I had never had a beard trim prior to visiting here and I had NO idea what I was missing out on. They did magic on my beard which I already thought looked pretty damn good. I even trusted them to trim me up for my wedding and my wife said it was the best haircut she's ever seen on me. 11/10. read more

Excellent environment for a barber shop. My man Spencer was very prompt and could carry a nice conversation. You could tell he definitely took his time and didn't rush anything but still got me out in under 45 minutes. Super satisfied w the end result and he went ahead and trimmed my facial stubble without me asking. Nice touch to offer a beer when you walk in. Will be back whenever I'm back in town and a little scraggly. Also call ahead if you can, walk ins are available but it's not their fault if someone calls ahead or walks in before you considering they only have 5 barbers at a time @ previous reviewer. read more

Gentleman this is definitely a barbershop you don't want to miss out on! I went all out and got a haircut and shave. My experience did not disappoint. Zoran - the barber is probably one of the coolest persons I have met. I loved the vintage 1920's theme in the shop. Zoran also uses some neat, vintage techniques like the original cologne created. I'm two weeks into my haircut and it's still looking fresh. You can't beat the prices of this place. I'm eager to say that I have a barber to go see on a regular basis which is something I have never had. read more
