Fine döner and slightly grouchy servers. Like many of the businesses right on the border, they'll take € or CHF. Not sure I'd eat here regularly, but a fine place to grab a Taschenbrot to take to sit by the Rhein.
The kebab meat was fine, but not as tender or flavorful as some I've had; the Taschenbrot ("pocket-bread") was more substantial than many of the pita-like things I've tried, which actually worked well with the generous helping of sauce. Red cabbage was the most interesting of the few veggies.
Had a little squabble with the owner over my change, which was due to my mistake --- I handed over CHF when I thought I was handing euros, and asked for clarification when he didn't give me any change. We got it figured out eventually, but I was totally the annoying customer this time around --- mea culpa. read more
