Fast dumplings served hot! Variety of dumpling kinds and protein. Ordered crab and pork soup dumpling . Very good! Duck dumplings inside a larger wrap. This one was a bit tough and chewy to eat. Cilantro shrimp dumplings very good! The pork and cabbage steamed dumplings were tasty! Spring rolls crunchy and fresh got out the door with 5 plates for under $50 bucks

I loved our first experience at Dynasty Dumpling, located in Pacific Heights in S.F. We came on a Saturday afternoon with a large party and they were able to quickly set up tables to accommodate us. We also brought a cake which they were able to put in the refrigerator until we were ready to eat it. We ordered a mix of dim sum items and Chinese dishes. Some of our favorites included the pork soup dumplings (xlbs), walnut prawns (prawns were large!), dynasty fried rice, beef chow fun, salt and pepper tofu, braised eggplant, garlic string beans, and shrimp toast. We also really liked the Westlake beef soup, Mongolian beef, and salt and pepper pork. All of the food was pretty tasty and the portions were a good size. The staff provided great customer service. Although some people in our party were late, they didn't rush us at all. They were good at taking our order with no problems, they refilled drinks regularly, and took care of our requests. They also brought out our cake and provided us with paper plates. So nice! They never once rushed us and always had a positive attitude during our time there. Also, they gave us 10% off since it was a birthday. If it's your bday, make sure to bring your ID for 10% off. The restaurant wasn't large, but there were enough tables and seating for all of their customers and the ambience was casual. Great Chinese restaurant with delicious food and good portions.

Ordered on DoorDash and was pleasantly surprised on how tasty the meal was. Kept it simple and everything tasted really solid. The beef chow fun was especially good, always my go-to test and they did it right. Portions were fair overall. Only thing is I wished the salt and pepper prawns came in a full-size portion for the price, but flavor-wise they were on point. Definitely ordering here again for the dumplings next.

Great find. Portions were on the larger size and the food was good. Restaurant was moderately busy for a Saturday afternoon with no wait the whole time we dined. We brought a cake and they brought us paper plates and forks without charging a cake fee. They offer a additional 10% for birthdays.

They have really decently sized portions for the pricing here! We definitely overordered for two. We shared the original pork soup dumplings, salt and pepper squid, hot and sour soup, and mu shu pork. Very much enjoyed the hot and sour soup and mu shu pork. The soup was very tangy and the small size gave about 4 bowls. The mu shu pork tasted almost exactly how my parents make it.

I came here for lunch to kick start the New Year and the food was absolutely fire! This cozy, neighborhood dim sum restaurant is comparable to Din Tai Fung, however, the flavors are more authentic, portions are larger, and prices are more reasonable. I wish we had a Dynasty Dumpling in San Jose-- I would be coming here often! My bestie and I came here around 1:30 pm for lunch. Luckily, there were only a handful of people in the restaurant and we were seated immediately. If you have a hard time figuring out what to order, I recommend looking at Yelp pics and researching ahead of time b/c their menu is MASSIVE. I wanted to try so many dishes but my bestie and I focused mainly on their dim sum, dumplings, and XLB. The following is what we ordered: -Marinated Cucumbers (5/5): This famous appetizer was crunchy, refreshing, and well-balanced! I really loved the flavor of the cucumber marinade-- sweet, slightly vinegar-y, nutty (from sesame oil), and spicy. The sauce also had a generous amount of fresh chili sambal and minced garlic which added so much flavor as well! I also liked how the cucumbers were left in large chunks and pounded instead of sliced. The texture was very satisfying. This is one of my go-to appetizers and a must try when visiting! -Scallion Pancake (4/5) : The scallion pancake wasn't my favorite dish but it was pretty solid. Each piece of pancake was thin, crispy, and flaky. I could tell it was freshly made and came out hot from the pan. Looking back, I feel like the pancake was more on the dry side and needed some sauce. I recommend mixing the chili oil and vinegar (provided at each table) to make a dipping sauce. -Original Pork Soup Dumplings (5/5): These XLB were juicy, light, and flavorful. Each XLB was piping hot and cooked to perfection! The outside of the XLB was thin, tender and perfectly steamed. The inside filling was bursting with savory pork soup broth and filling. I really enjoyed these dumplings with the vinegar and freshly sliced ginger dipping sauce provided on the side as well! Please give these a try when visiting. -Pan fried Juicy Pork Buns (5/5): WOW, this dish was so delicious and lives up to it's name! These pork buns were soooo juicy. Each bite I took was bursting with savory, umami pork dumpling soup and was hitting me in the face. The bottom of the dumpling was perfectly golden and crispy and the top was tender with a slight chew. Yum! -Chicken Mushroom Corn Dumplings (3.5/5): The presentation of these dumplings were beautiful and eye-catching! However, I didn't enjoy the flavor of these dumplings as much as the others. I feel like the addition of the steamed corn gave the dumplings a slightly sweeter flavor which I'm not used to. If you love corn, these dumplings are for you! I'm glad I gave these dumplings a try but won't be ordering next time. -Beef Chow Fun (5/5): I was blown away by this dish! I've had Chow Fun so many times and this is the best one I've had yet. The beef was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The noodles were smooth, silky, and soft. I loved the addition of green onion and bean sprouts for added texture and freshness. I'm so glad I gave this hidden gem restaurant a try and will be coming back soon on my next trip to SF!

We were really looking forward to coming back to this restaurant but we had a few mishaps this time around. We ordered the dumplings, cucumbers, shrimp fried rice and the garlic cheese noodles. Everything came hot and ready to go, however there was a plastic lid underneath the garlic cheese noodles. We got our server and they felt bad and brought us another order. As we were digging into that order, my son's girlfriend pulled a long, dark hair out of the noodles. We once again called our server over. The server felt terrible and removed it from our bill (the entree) honestly not sure if I can go back.

Returned twice on our visit to SF. This is now one of our "go to" stops. the sheng jian baos are the best. The spicy one are amazing. We also tried the wonton soup which has lots of shrimp and wontons. overwhelming the portion of broth.

Really well priced dumpling spot in Pac Heights. Love how garlicky the green beans were. The chicken dim sum (rare to find) was also good. The shrimp and leek dumplings were the only disappointment and had a weird aftertaste so we probably won't order that next time.

Chicken with mixed vegetables....on the lunch menu.
    Bleep S.

Lunch was very good and there is a lunch menu. We dined on chicken with mixed vegetables, duck dumplings, soup with noodles and shrimp dumplings. All served with a small bowl of sour and hot soup to start. Woweeee. Crispy, fresh, full of flavor vegetables with the perfectly cooked chicken. White or fried rice on the side. Jasmine tea. Good sized portions at a reasonable price. Definitely coming back.

Found this great Chinese restaurant that serves dim sum all day and evening up until closing time. The food was excellent although finding parking was difficult . It's the typical San Francisco hunt for parking and hope you get lucky scenario. We were seated immediately and from the looks of it, it seems to be everybody's go to. The dining room was filled, and there was a constant flow of DoorDashers, Uber eats and GrubHubers picking up bags of aromatic eats. We ordered: Shanghai stir fried noodles and added beef. This dish was delicious and savory with thick, chewy firm noodles and chopped vegetables. The sauce perfectly coated the noodles and wasn't oily like many noodle dishes. Salt and Pepper Squid. This dish consists of pieces of squid sliced into rings, coated in batter, deep fried and sprinkled with salt. It comes with sliced jalapeño and topped with pepper flakes. Great appetizer to start off your meal. Service was impressive and our water glasses were always filled without having to hail a server.

Under $15 lunch special drew me in (for dinner!) I was curious. I took the 1 bus and Dynasty Dumpling was across the street. Great location at California and Divis. Around 7:30pm, it was pretty busy inside. Interior is clean and smooth. Looks nice inside. I ordered online for pickup and my 3 dishes were ready when I got there. My boyfriend and I enjoyed - B9. Hot and Spicy Pork XLB ($11.85) - C5. Wonton with Chili Sauce ($10.85) - D1. Pan Fried Vegetable and Pork Buns ($10.55) Everything was very good and filling. The chili sauce with the wontons was not overly spicy or overwhelming. The hot and spicy pork XLB were juicy and unique compared to other XLB I've had--broth inside was good. We really enjoyed the pan fried pork buns--also juicy and warm. Will be back! Service was good at pickup.

I was in the neighborhood waiting for Sen friends to get ready and saw this place across the street decided to go in just to get a snack ordered both the soup, dumplings, and the pan fried pork dumplings and oh my gosh, I was absolutely blown away the flavors or spectacular. I wished I would've had time to sit down with a bunch of people and have a proper meal. Everybody's food looks so delicious. I'm definitely coming back here. Next time I visit my friends.

The staff were friendly and super prompt about clearing empty plates and refilling our tea whenever we signaled it was done, which is always great as the dishes just get on coming! We ordered a bunch of dishes to share, and several really stood out. The spicy tendon was fantastic, shredded paper thin and swimming in a classic spicy sauce. The spicy lamb dumplings were another highlight, with an incredibly thin wrapper and a super flavorful and not gamey at all lamb filling. I also loved the stir fried rice cakes, which were sliced thin enough to avoid that overly chewy texture, and the stir fried noodles Shanghai style were classic and simple in the best way, with big chunks of cabbage and meat and just executed really (the chefs clearly have some serious wok skills!). Not everything we ordered was an absolute knockout as the vegetable dishes could use a bit more flavor and seasoning, but everything overall was good, and the portions across the board were very generous. The desserts were a last-minute decision and I am so glad we went for them. The lava custard buns were fluffy and amazing, with a molten salted egg custard inside, and the sesame balls had a satisfyingly crispy exterior that gave way to a perfectly chewy interior and sweet red bean filling. The value here is also excellent. We left absolutely stuffed and spent around $30 per person, which felt like a great deal for how much food we got and how much we enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

We sat at the communal high-top table in the center of the restaurant, which has a small pond built into it with little goldfish and even a tiny rubber duck sitting on the rock formation -- such a cute detail and definitely adds to the ambiance. Our server Ken was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended the Iron Goddess tea, which ended up being excellent. The Kid ordered the Milk Aroma Oolong, which surprisingly tasted almost like milk tea even though it's just brewed tea. I walked into the restaurant about 45 minutes before closing time at 9:30 PM and several other diners came in after I was seated. The unsettled weather made the people hungry for dumplings. Bao is warm and woody and serene on the inside, a great counterpoint to the bustle of Valencia at every hour. Upon entering there is a large window looking on to the kitchen prep area where culinary experts are often at work constructing the food diners later enjoy on their plates. Tonight a couple of wizards were in the process of making chicken potstickers. Even being vegetarian, just seeing how the dumplings and other items are made is like seeing secrets being shared. I love it and it sets the vibe for the restaurant. My order consisted of the steamed vegetarian buns and sautéed string beans. The buns come out beautifully presented and taste even better: the bun itself is just slightly sweet and that sweetness adds an amazing dimension to the chopped fresh vegetables inside. Can't tell you what any of these veggies are individually and I don't care, they are so good. Next came the sautéed string beans and the sear on the beans themselves was perfect and smoky and delicious. The crispness of the sautee makes the string beans a lovely pairing with the soft yummy of the steamed buns. Last came the sesame balls as a sweet meal ending. I love donuts and fresh-made sesame balls are similar to a donut hole just with a filling that is actually food and so sweetly tasty. The outer fry was crisp and the insides absolutely perfect. Quick and tasty spot. Came here to split a siu mai while waiting for my order from another spot…read more The cashier was super friendly and the food came out quickly. Heads up that this is mostly a takeaway spot and they only have 1-2 small tables. The siu mai was fairly big and I liked that the order came with a bunch of sauces- chili oil, soy sauce, and a hot sauce. As a big sauce fan, I appreciated the selection! I'll be back to try most of their selection.

I've only ordered dim sum from here through Too Good to Go (2g2g). Like their Chinatown location,…read moreI find the dim sum to be oily. But overall, it's good. The baked bbq pork buns are sweet with a decent amount of filling. The deep fried dumpling is plump, juicy, and crunchy. The shrimp and chive dumplings are my favorite. It's full of shrimp with a slightly thicker skin, which I think adds a nice chewiness. The veggie egg rolls were okay. I personally wouldn't order those, even if I was craving them. The spare ribs had a really nice savory flavor from the sauce. The egg tarts were okay. I need to note that these bags are leftovers from the day, so they're not as fresh. But they held up the next day so I was able to stretch 2 meals out of them. I can't comment on service since these bags are only for pick up. But they quickly provide the bags once the window open. And it's a small space, with maybe 2 tables. So this place is probably best for to-go orders. Their 2g2g bags have more variety than their Chinatown location. Not sure how many dim sum options there are in the Mission, but I would go here if I was in the area and craving a shrimp and chive dumpling.
