Let me start by saying I'm writing this review on behalf of my Bf cuz I'm so pissed. I don't usually write reviews and usually don't write negative ones, i usually let it go, but i just can't believe how terrible the customer service is here. The gun industry is pretty small and tight knit i feel so I'm super upset i have to warn y'all about this company. I will say I'm happy with my item ATM, but I'm not happy about how everything went down and that i had to spend more money beyond my initial investment to problem solve the problems they created. There's nothing dynamic about this company. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. I've been super patient and understanding with them and have actually not made any fuss to them but I just want to warn all gun owners. Mid April I placed an order for my slide to get an optic cut (I saw them running a deal on their IG stories- which advertised same day turn around). I called and they said if I arrive early and am one of the first in store they would be able to get it back to me that day, long and behold, I show up and they tell me they can't do it same day (cool, awesome, no problem) and also that they don't have channel liners and i will need to purchase one from a 3rd party (alright cool so you already can't provide the service you are advertising, should have been my first red flag). They proceed to tell me the lead time will be about 1-2 weeks (great, no problem). Two weeks later, haven't heard anything, so I give them a call. They haven't even began production on my slide and say it's due to Covid and that I can call back in a week to check. Okay will do. I call back in a week, speak to Sonya, and the woman is all over the place. First order can't be found, then she goes back and finds my order but tells me that the sights I've ordered are backordered and that they won't get installed when my slide is done (uh why didn't anyone call me to tell me this when they realized the items they are selling aren't even in stock?). I ask about the channel liner and i get told that it would be better for me to purchase from a third party because they don't know when they will get them in (cool so you should prob comp me for that right?). Everything is being blamed on Covid at this point and the shop wants to take no responsibility or provide any solutions. She tells me to call back in a week to check in on the progress. Week 4, I call in on Monday, Sonya on the phone again, says my slide won't be cut until the following Wed (a week and a half out), and that there still isn't any info on my sights. Cool, I reach out to their IG to try to get better answers and Pedro tells me to give them a call (he's part owner). I give them a call and he says he can cut my slide today and have it ready by the weekend but my sights are still not in (mind you they are still running this special on their IG page of same day service and all products are in stock). He tells me that they have different sights in stock though and I could upgrade to those (I feel like that should have been complimentary or super discounted- but whatever i order them anyways). I call back on Friday, Sonya on the phone, tells me it's not ready but will be ready Monday. I call on Monday, she tells me she did not say it would be ready Monday and that it's still not ready (I also ask about the channel Liner, see if they have gotten that in stock- still haven't). I just ask they call me when my slide is ready. Few hours later she calls me and says it's ready and I ask about the channel liner and I can hear Pedro in the back saying he will go out and get one from me. I show up on Wed to pick up my slide. It's done. Looks good. No channel liner though. Pedro tells me that there's a store down the street from them that sells them for $3 (mind you i have driven over 50 miles one way to get here) and if i want I can go buy one and come back and he will install... okay so you're telling me that you couldn't drive down the street, purchase a $3 channel liner and have it ready for me when I arrived?! Great customer service. Been waiting to write this review, until my account closed because I didn't want any further complications with my over due build. But since it's finally done, here it is. Warning to all potential customers, if you don't care about getting your build back in a timely matter or want to play phone/email tag with them, then this is the place to go. Overall, the gun came back the way I wanted but for it to be 4 months past due with zero feedback/update, ain't worth it. Their customer service is a complete joke, they use generic excuses, which are shipping delays or understaffing or its in processing etc. But when you show them that you can get the exact same parts from different websites and even amazon next day delivery(screen shot the availability), they coincidently got them in stock the exact day I send them the screen shot. Sonia is the so called the manager or I say the public relation for the whole store but even her generic excuses were to much for a basic build. Their bad customer service is more apparent when you go to the store. I was made aware why I kept playing phone/email tag. Their employee really have zero worth ethic, letting the phone ring, translating simple messages wrong to the customer (who I can hear was calling about their build that was also late), arguing between each other because they told the customer they forgot to order a part instead of telling them there is a part delay, not even taking off their sunglasses when talking to customers indoor. Seems like they are more interested in building their new truck and starting their new youtube channel. The only thing I didn't get done from them was cherkote which I assume it's their main bread maker but the 5 times I've been in there, I always hear them playing catch up with people's order. Just frustrated on how simple this build could of been if only I've been given update. Only time I would get anywhere with them is when I requested my money back, then sure enough parts will magically come in. Anyways enough ranting, just read all their other reviews on here and on better business and you'll see that everyone has problem with their build date. Absolutely amazing customer support!!!! Their staff works with you to help design modifications that will benefit your personal needs. They often post sales and promotions on their instagram page just in case budget becomes an issue. These folks take pride in their work and they won't let you walk away dissatisfied. This place is clutch. They do basic gunsmithing, optics cuts, and have expanded into doing their own take on certain guns like the Beretta 1301 (come down and see it for yourself). For LEOs out there, I believe some departments have approved DWS as their optics cut vendor. They have great customer service here and even have an adorable shop dog to greet you in the lobby (he asks for payment in return with belly rubs). There's also a 2011 armorer here too if you want to circumvent having to send your gun back to the manufacturer for something. My order is #11888, so Pedro can't respond I need more information. They acknowledged receiving my shipped m&p 40 2.0 slide, a 357sig barrel and Holosun optic from me on 9/22/23 after fully paying on 9/20/23 while texting on his website portal. It's now 12/8/23 or 11 weeks later. Here's my experience. Auto acknowledged parts received, auto acknowledged slide disassembly. At week 9 I heard nothing else so I ask, stating I'm not in a Rush what's the status. Pedro after a few days responded on website portal and said it was going in for milling then. That was 3 weeks ago. Nothing since and I now acknowledge the stories of Pedro failing to meet delivery is 100% true. I don't know if he's lying or incompetent but I hope he's not a thief. Next time I'm in Huntington Beach I will stop in and in person hopefully have a chat with him. I couldn't at this point recommend DWS at all. And to show my review status you can look up I don't review much on yelp and usually just review great places. DWS is a failure experience at this point. If I get my parts and money back or completed work great either is fine. This is all an issue because the correspondence email when I paid in full said 4-8 weeks. Monday 12/11/23 is 12th week. If there's simply a lack of communication and he didn't lie in 9th week I'd still give 1 star as communication is business #1 priority but I would not have left the review. I'm re-editing my review after Pedro's response. I don't know how to respond. Here's a copy of wording from my screenshot of Pedro from the first website portal chat. Pedro- We have everything in stock and if you get everything with me I'll give you a free upgrade and or expedite to four weeks. The only thing that can cause a delay is the barrel coating as we don't do it in house. My order included a 416r barrel I did not want coated I provided so absolutely no delays should have happened. According to him it should have been done by November. This clown has responded through out the day with me after this review, and left me laughing hard. His last excuse at 4pm was after my 100% true comment copied and pasted here of Me: I work in a building with a machine shop with many enthusiasts. Tomorrow I'll ask them how long the work actually takes, including programming even if a novice employee was doing it. You have to many reviews of the same issues of what I'm saying, so trust I don't believe a word you say. Pedro: Okay, not a problem sir. Hope they have the tools to measure gas loss and make the slide still cycle 100 percent too. If someone tells you this , like me you have a problem on your hands. Absolutely stay away from DWS. Excuses like this are by a pathological liar. He won't just say "I'm sorry, I messed up here's your new eta". He did say at one point something like communication is on us, like no shit, stating the obvious is not an apology. We're at a point he Claims completion is 2-3 weeks away from today 12/8/23. I'm glad he finally gave a straight answer. I will update next info I get. Last as of 12/8/23 he needs to verify things. I guess saying my stuff is in programming and machining, and it's taking long because those highly specialized pistol gas loss tools. Is far easier to start doing in 12th week of 8 when you verify answers from the long chat we first had of what I exactly wanted. Yep it's that silly. I will say, he's adamant he doesn't want to argue only fix my complaints. We shall see. I'm very surprised to see all the bad mouthing on here. I had an awesome experience with DWS. Pedro spent a lot of time talking to me through social media. Giving me info and answering questions. I ended up jumping on one of their holiday sales for my G19. Only snag was the DLP coating didn't come out as it should which wasn't on them. We decided to just cerekote the slide and they rushed it, got it done and got it back to me within a few days. Order# 8730 I have been trying to solve my order issue directly with Dynamic Weapon Solutions through their instagram account but its always lies. I placed an order for my slide to be milled for an RMR, cerakoated slot, and a plate cover. I placed my order on August 22, 2022 and shipped over my new 19X slide to DWS. On September 9 , I received an email stating: Your slide has finished the machining process and is now in our Prep process and will move to blasting next. I never received an update since. I started to reach out through instagram because i could never reach someone through their phone number or emails. Every time i spoke to whomever manages the instagram account they tell me to reach out the next day, when i did no response. After reaching out every day without response, i was told about 3 weeks ago that my order was being shipped, when i reach out to get a tracking number they always ignore me or make up some random excuse. I have been told 3 different times my order is being shipped on that day, 3 weeks in a row and still no tracking number or update. This is the worst company i have tried communicating with in my whole life. I cant think of a worst customer service than what i have been through with this company. My order number is 8730, just in case they see this review and state that they don't know who or what the order or customer this is. Very hard to find companies with good customer based relations, especially in this industry. Highly recommend this company. I've had work done from them over the years, optic cuts, and purchased slides. Got the RMR footprint cut on all worked slides. Also purchased a MRK I slide, the bees knees I tell you, all the right stuff and where the milling needs to be. Cerakote quality is always superb, no runs or blemishes. Two weeks after ordering just an RMR plate cover, I hadn't received an order update or shipping information. Was told that it was "in cerakote" this week. Was shipped the next day. I appreciate honesty so if you just missed the order, tell me. The plate will generally only fit their specific cuts, so I had to alter it to fit mine. Wasn't going to go with their cut service based on previous reviews. Should have taken those as a sign to not order at all. First off, let me start off with saying I HATE giving bad reviews. Especially a pro 2nd shop. But the lack of communication has drove me nuts. June 6th, DWS was posted in a booth at a local gun show and offered their services (very nice work to say the least) on my G19. They were supposed to do a RMR Cut, MK3 slide work, and a black multicam cerakote for quite honestly a too-good-to-be-true price. Their low prices are nuts! So of course I signed up. I hand delivered my slide to them the very next day and was told to wait 6-8 weeks. -Granted this is during COVID times so I expected it to take 8 weeks versus 6. At 6 weeks I had not received any updates, emails, or calls but seen them at another gun show. I mentioned to one of the employees (Sonia) if I should expect it soon and she advised me to email her. I then emailed at week 6 to ask for update to an email address that was owned by (Pedro/ CEO)...he replied promptly! Saying he passed the message but never got a response. July 27th..... at 7 weeks I emailed their "updates" email, received an email requesting my order number (duh..how did I forget to mention that in my initial email)....well my fault there but here is where it got funny. August 5th- I received a call from Siena and was ASKED what color did I want...(well weird that I was called...but figured eh, if it hasn't been colored then I'd like to change to metallic multi-cam IF possible)....she said "No issue!"....especially since my slide hadn't been coated yet. Well that was week 8 and I figured "Ok...they are cerakoting at week 8....I should have it in a week or so...not too bad. Took 9 weeks but at least I know it's getting done.".... August 5th AT NIGHT, I received an email stating that my slide was in paint prep to get coated in METALLIC MULTICAM and that it would be assembled and ready for pick up. August 11th- I got in to pick up my slide assuming a week was long enough to assemble the slide and they said "well...uh...it isn't even coated yet"....Like what?? ...I asked why and they said "Oh well the METALLIC MULTI CAM booth was down, but "Is now open and will be colored this week" August 19th- I email for an update. I get a response that same day and they informed me it was coated but not assembled. I responded saying "Excited! Can I go pick up later in the week?"....and well now...no response. August 21- I email again, no response. August 25th- I email them and pretty much state "I want to go pick up my slide. Regardless of being assembled or not. It's been 11 weeks and I'll just pay my local gunsmith to assemble it". No response from them. August 27th- I go in person and see Sonia, she then went to the back and came out front to tell me that my slide was colored the wrong color since "I changed the order"....like no. Absolutely ridiculous! How is it that their own agents called me asking what color I wanted, offered to do whatever color, and now saying it was my fault?? But Sonia was nice, she said "Look, I know it's been a while but it's in paint prep to get re-done. I promise you a call back by September 1st and it WILL be ready for pick up, I'll personally call you."....well as you can imagine, no call from her. No email. No response. I've emailed once again, no response. Called SEVERAL times, no answer. Even DM'd them... I can "SEE" that they've viewed my messages on Instagram, and still no response. Look, I know this is a 1st world problem but this is not how proper customer service is performed. How is it that I've sent 4 emails, 15 calls, 3 instagram messages, and waited 12 weeks to have no updates/ slide. It is now September 5th and I've pretty much gave up on getting my slide back. I'm not doing this review to damage their reputation, and I'll be glad to repost an update IF i get contacted. But I really need a response regarding a part of my firearm. IF this does get viewed by DWS, please remember, MK3 Reaper cut (with top cut included), METALLIC MULTI-CAM, RMR CUT. Sorry for the long read everyone, but as a previous operations manager I know that these reviews truly help the business. Critical reviews are important. He also offered to take it to my other gunsmith since I mentioned I was going to get work performed to it. I let him know it is ok, and I will pick up next Monday or Tuesday. I'm glad I received a call and let him know I will update this review (he stated I don't have to but appreciates it)....I'm glad he personally called me and resolved this. UPDATE- I picked up. Work is beautiful and a 10/10! Color, design, work is perfect. Again, steal of a deal. What puts a sour taste in my mouth is how I had to chase for updates versus routine ones.
