She practices throughout the week so much that I have to remind her to log in through the app and utilize the tools that come with the lessons. Hoping to learn more through the coming years. Mrs. Brener has been kind, inspirational, compassionate and demanding (in the most productive ways) with us. She has guided my boys through the ups and downs of their own commitment to music, accommodated a busy and sometimes unpredictable schedule of time conflicts (both boys play ice hockey) and challenged them to achieve a level of musicianship that they did not believe they were capable of (nor did I). I marvel at how far they have come during their time studying under Mrs. Brener. We are all so incredibly grateful for Mrs. Brener's depth of knowledge, instructional expertise and genuine affection for my boys. Although my older son is off to university, my younger son will continue training under Mrs Brener for as long as possble. Thank you Mrs. Brener and we hope your studio overflows with music and joy for years to come!!!

For serious students, she prepares students for National Guild Auditions and has hosted the judging at her studio. She teaches on a grand piano or an electronic keyboard if the student prefers. Special events are played on her concert grand piano. As a disabled person, the easy access and parking in Teddy's quiet Laguna Niguel neighborhood makes it easier and safer for me to get to my lessons. Many adults learning for the first time or getting back to piano also enjoy piano study with Teddy. Her knowledge of the popular as well as classical piano literature gives each adult the opportunity to play music that interests him/her with arrangements Teddy can find that the student can play. She makes great use of YouTube performances and other electronic media to provide model performances and background information about the pieces her students are studying. Instead of formal recitals, this group gets together for optional social gatherings where we play for each other just for fun. I enjoy keeping up with my fellow adult piano adventurers, sharing with them about the kind of music I have been playing and putting some extra effort into getting my piece ready to play at the party.
